In the context of declining world demand, inflation and economic recession have occurred in many countries, reducing consumption demand of major trading partners, affecting import and export turnover in general.
In the face of that situation, import and export activities in Binh Duong province has continued encountering many difficulties and decreasing significantly compared to the same period last year. Accordingly, the province’s export turnover in July was estimated at more than US$3.12 billion, up 17.6% and 8.7% over the previous month and the same period last year. The figure in the first 7 months of 2023 was more than US$ 17.87 billion, down 15.5% over the same period last year. However, the province still had US$5.2 billion in trade surplus. Of these, the domestic investment sector reached US$ 1.5 billion while the FDI sector gained US$3. 6 billion.
