95 flames light up the desire to contribute
To celebrate the 77th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2025) and to welcome the Party congresses at all levels, Standing Committee of Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union held a solemn ceremony to honor 95 exemplary young party members and outstanding union members. This event not only recognizes these remarkable individuals but also reaffirms the province's commitment to building and nurturing a strong team of excellent union members and young party members.
Lighting up the desire to contribute
At the recent ceremony, 95 young individuals were honored, including 62 outstanding young party members and 33 exceptional union members. These individuals exemplify pioneering spirit, creativity, and tireless dedication across various fields, significantly contributing to the province's development. Ms. Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and President of Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation, highlighted that “these individuals represent the elite core and the future cadre for Party committees, who are poised to inherit and promote the glorious revolutionary traditions of the Party and the nation.”
Each of the 95 honorees has a unique and inspiring story of dedication. For example, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Giau, Secretary of Binh Hoa Ward Youth Union in Thuan An City, has emerged as a leader in the solidarity movement, uniting young workers, ethnic groups, and various religions. Due to her enthusiasm and exceptional ability to connect with others, she has achieved an impressive youth gathering rate of over 90% in her ward, despite Binh Duong being an industrial area with many immigrant workers. This accomplishment has earned Ms. Giau multiple certificates of merit from the Central Youth Union, including the prestigious Ly Tu Trong Award in 2024, which recognizes outstanding Youth Union officials. Ms. Giau emotionally stated, “Today’s award motivates me to continue connecting with workers who are far from home, helping them assert themselves and contribute to the development of their homeland and country.”
Another honoree is Mr. Luong Van Hung, an Assistant Officer of Provincial Military Command and an exemplary young soldier. He has not only excelled in his professional tasks but has also actively participated in political and community activities. Mr. Hung has demonstrated his strong political will and outstanding work ethic by winning first prize in the contest commemorating 80 years of the Vietnam People's Army tradition and second prize in the provincial-level competition for excellent Party cell secretaries.
Additionally, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duong, a teacher at Minh Tan Junior High School in Dau Tieng district, has consistently inspired his students and team members with his passion for their homeland and country. Recently, he was recognized as "Progressive Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings." The stories of these individuals, who contribute silently yet meaningfully, are not only a source of pride for themselves and their families but also serve as a powerful motivation for hundreds of union members and young people in attendance at the ceremony, inspiring the younger generation in the locality.
Developing party members is an important and regular task
Binh Duong is one of the most dynamically developing industrial provinces in Vietnam, attracting hundreds of thousands of young workers from across the country. This rapid growth places high demands on Party development work, emphasizing the need for perseverance, creativity, and efficiency. The political report from the 11th Provincial Party Congress (term 2020-2025) set a goal of recruiting over 9,500 new Party members by the end of the term, with at least 70% of these members expected to be from the "Youth source." After four years of implementation, the province has successfully achieved nearly 90% of this target, with elite union members playing a crucial "backbone" role in this process. This underscores the significant impact of the Youth Union organization on Party building efforts.
This impressive achievement did not happen by chance; it resulted from the coordinated and thorough implementation of various solutions. Youth Union at all levels has enhanced political and ideological education, regularly offering classes to foster Party awareness at the grassroots level, helping to minimize cost and travel time for union members. Additionally, the periodic submission of outstanding union member lists to Party Committees has established a system of close and timely coordination between the Union and the Party. Strict inspection and supervision of the Party admission process have also been prioritized to ensure the quality of new Party members.
Ms. Tran Thi Diem Trinh stated, “Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has taken the work of developing outstanding union members for Party consideration very seriously. Supporting and training these members for Party admission is a regular task for us, aimed at supplementing new resources for the Party and enhancing the quality of grassroots Party organizations. This is both an honor and a vital responsibility of the Youth Union. We have followed the guidance of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the province's political tasks, and the directions of the Central Youth Union closely. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has proactively advised and organized the implementation, fostering the pioneering spirit of Binh Duong's youth. We have built a comprehensive plan for Party member development for the entire term and annually assign targets for developing members from outstanding union members to specific Union organization groups. The goal of recruiting Party members from elite union members has been included in the annual performance criteria for agencies, units, schools, enterprises, and the armed forces.”
This year’s commendation ceremony is seen as a significant highlight, not only for reviewing past efforts but also for ushering in a new phase filled with potential and challenges. Binh Duong is currently facing a historic opportunity as it, along with Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, develops into a "super city" in the Southeast region. In this context, the roles of young Party members and outstanding union members are more crucial than ever, serving as the vanguard and core force to transform development aspirations into reality.
After more than 4 years of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, 11,680 union members were sent to attend Party awareness training courses (accounting for 65.7%), of which nearly 6,500 outstanding union members were admitted to the Party (reaching over 65%); 159 students and 36 pupils were admitted to the Party, nearly 8,000 people under 35 years old were admitted to the Party (accounting for nearly 84% of the total number of admitted party members)... |
