A 10-year breakthrough of Tan Cang Song Than ICD Ltd.

In response to the instruction of shifting economic structure and expanding cooperation relations for overall development, Tan Cang Song Than ICD Ltd. is the first business investing in state-of-the-art facilities for exploiting package logistics services with the international standards. After 10 years of operation with spectacular breakthroughs, Tan Cang Song Than ICD Ltd. has turned a waterless land filled with straw grass into a busy ICD inland Customs Clearance Depot. ICD Song Than reached merit certificates from the PM government for 5 consecutive years and will receive Labor Order, third class on its upcoming 10th birthday.

A spectacular breakthrough

As the first inland customs clearance depot in the province with the initial capital of only VND2.5bil, the company’s capital has so far jumped to VND247bil with a perfect system of infrastructure facility including advanced equipments, CFS bond, international standard bonded warehouse. Besides, the company is the whole country’s first logistics service company winning the standard ISO 9001:2008. ICD Tan Cang Song Than Ltd. has contributed to lure foreign companies to the province.

The company in cooperation with Binh Duong Customs has set up and maintained “one-door” service to offer information and help clients as well as provide with container search service via mobile phone and so on.

Dang Tan Phong, head of the company’s planning-business department, affirmed “ICD Song Than is considered as Vietnam’s biggest logistics service company. Depot system of the company is ranked the country’s top position. In the past, logistics service was often managed by foreign businesses but now ICD Song Than is not only merely package logistics service supplier but a 100% Vietnam foreign-invested package logistics service supplier. The company just won a contract for distributing goods for big groups. The event is a breakthrough of the Vietnamese business in conquering new market heights”.

Excellent completion for 2 crucial tasks

Senior lieutenant-colonel Do Gia Kim, vice director of the company, said “as a national defense unit joining in economic development, we must complete 2 crucial tasks of fighting, ensuring safety for military base and expanding operation of Tan Cang and maintaining prestige of Sai Gon Newdepot Company. Besides, we have to assure an average income of VND14mil per capita per month for staff”.

The tasks are concretized by cooperating with local authorities and relevant units to ensure security. 100% of the company staff has completed their tasks.
