During two days, Ben Cat district Youth Union organized a journey returning to Cai Lay (Tien Giang province) for more than 90 Union cadres, members from 23 business Union branches.   The delegation gave gifts to martyr – educator Le Thi Thien’s family at Tan Phu commune, Cai Lay district, Tien Giang provinceOn the first day of this trip, they visited the Ap Bac National historical monument at Tan Phu commune to contemplate exhibition house and know about historic Ap Bac battle, listen to struggling process of soldiers in Ap Bac battle on January 2nd 1963. Also during this trip, the delegation visited and gave gifts to families of martyr Tru Van Tho and martyr, educator Le Thi Thien; carried out youth work “Gratitude garden” at Ms. Huynh Thi Kim Anh’s house, which is solitary household, she is sister of 2 martyrs at Ba Bao hamlet, My Phuoc Tay commune. Despite bad weather, members joined efforts to finish the youth work after 2 hours. Then they sat down together and listened to storied about war time of Ms. Anh and enjoyed traditional tasty dishes prepared by surrounding neighbors.Nguyen Thi Thu Ngan, a member of the delegation, said emotionally: “I felt so proud as visiting Ap Bac historical monument and listening to historic stories. We, young generation, will follow closely revolutionary tradition of previous generation to contribute to the national development and protection”.On this occasion, they also attended exchange program , between Ho Chi Minh generation; awarded 1,000 notebooks to disadvantaged children, 2 computer sets to My Phuoc Tay commune and Cai Lay town, and gave souvenirs worth totally VND35 mln to Cai Lay district Youth Union. Then Union members of two units had a cultural exchange with songs praising the Party, uncle Ho, homeland traditions, ended with tight hand holdings, rhythmic dance beside warm campfire. The delegation toured Cai Be floating market, traditional craft villages, orchards, enjoyed specialty fruits, dishes and amateur music.
