A variety of activities take place to celebrate Uncle Ho’s birthday

Celebrating the 132nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th 1890 - May 19th 2022), many places in the province have organized joyful and special cultural and artistic activities to show great gratitude to Uncle Ho.

“Thế giới hát về Người/ Việt Nam hát về Người/ Bao nhiêu năm qua/ Những bài ca hay nhất của Việt Nam/ Là những bài ca về Người/ Là những bài ca viết bằng trái tim/ Khắc ghi công ơn Người…” (The world sings about him / Vietnam sings about him / How many years past / The best songs of Vietnam / Are songs about him / Are songs written with whole heart / Always remember him ..." The song “Hát về Người” (Singing about him) written by Doan Bong was sung by non-professional singers of The Elderly Union of An Phu ward (Thuan An City) at the city Elderly Singing Contest 2022. Pink lotus flowers were staged in a dance, together with red flags, yellow stars and Uncle Ho's photos, of An Phu ward Elderly Union’s team, and arouse the pride in each participants of the contest.

Huynh Ngoc Suong, Chairwoman of Thuan An City Elderly Union, said that the city Elderly Singing Contest this year attracted 30 performances of 10 communes and wards in the area. In addition to the performances praising the Party, the Vietnamese revolutionary tradition and Binh Duong's development achievements, the teams also prepared many special meaningful acts praising President Ho Chi Minh, creating a commemorative atmosphere on Uncle Ho.

Also with pride and joy to celebrate Uncle Ho's 132nd birthday, on May 15, the Party Committee of Phu My ward (Thu Dau Mot City) held a singing contest about our beloved Uncle Ho. With the theme "Remembering Uncle Ho - my heart is purer", the contest attracted the participation of 15 units in the ward with 50 performances. Earlier, on May 11, at Phu Cuong ward Center for Culture , Sports and Community Learning (Thu Dau Mot City), Phu Cuong ward People's Committee held a karaoke contest. The contest had 19 solo performances and duets of contestants from unions and military forces in the ward and the School of Engineer Officers.

On the evening of May 14, People's Committee of Phu Tho ward (Thu Dau Mot City) also organized cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the 132nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. 11 units set up 11 booths in a folk food zone, and 13 units with 17 performances took part in in the Mass Art Performing Festival 2022.

Unique and attractive

In order to diversify activities serving people’s spiritual life in Phu Giao district, the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts organized 11 roving performances in 11 communes and towns. With the theme "Singing the song of victory", the program consisted of many staged acts that depicted the ups and downs of the country through historical, our determination to overcome hardships, stormy weather, always looked forward, the brave fighting spirit of our soldiers and people, and the joys of the historic Spring Victory Day (April 30th 1975). Besides, there were performances praising President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the nation.

Tran Thanh Son, Director of the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts, said that celebrating the 132nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, this unit would organize a special art program at Binh Duong New City Park.  Hopefully, the program will bring useful and meaningful musical and art moments for the people, especially for workers in the area.  

With the gratitude spirit to Uncle Ho, these cultural and artistic activities not only created a useful playground, meet cultural needs of people's classes, but also contribute to affirming that the movement "Learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideas, ethics and lifestyle” has really become the solid spiritual foundation of social life.
