In the past 5 years, Tan Binh ward has continuously titled the standard of urban civilization as the leading locality in implementing the movement of all people unifying to build cultural life in Di An city. Among 18 emulation targets of the movement, the locality achieved excellence in mobilizing people to build rural transport, take care of poor households, and build parks among others.

In recent years, Tan Binh ward has developed very strongly in terms of economy, services and urbanization. Tan Binh ward is also a locality with a large immigrant population. Therefore, in order to gain high achievements and meet urban civilization standards for many years, the locality has made great efforts in management and administration, which is to build a Neighborhood Executive Board that is strong enough, reputable, and trusted by the people to work responsibly. Right from the beginning of the year, the Steering Committee of the movement of the ward assigned each member to be on duties. In addition, the unions also thoroughly understand and deploy to members, union members in the implementation of agendas from residential areas to living spaces. Thereby, each year, nearly 8,000 households in the locality registered for the title of cultural families with all 5 neighborhoods registering for the cultural titles.

Every year, in order to carry out the movement and to help each other do business and create jobs, the locality maintains the model of Mutual Funding Group, Savings Fund for Poor Women, Credit Group, Fund for the Poor etc. It also coordinates with plant protection stations to organize training on growing sprouts, hydroponic vegetables and orchids to create jobs for poor and households in difficulties. It also mobilizes good people to help people with more difficulties to engage in production and business. By the approach, the number of poor households in the ward decreases every year. Currently, only 60 poor households are in the ward according to the province's new criteria.

The targets of building a cultural life and environment, propagating and disseminating legal education, etc. have always been agreed upon and well implemented by the people. The locality also does not allow children to be illiterate and mistreated as the work of taking care of socially-privileged families and people is well done.

In order to have a place for people to have fun and healthy entertainment, the locality continuously creates art and sports competitions. The ward mobilizes people to move graves out of residential areas to build more than 10 parks as places for people to come to play and to exercise. In the past 5 years, dozens of dirt roads have been, as contributed by people, asphalted or concretized with drainage system, electricity and lighting.

Talking to us, Mr. Nguyen Van Yem, Chairman of Tan Binh ward People's Committee said: "The plan of the ward is that from now to the end of the year, 17 concrete roads will be completed as contributed by people, and over 5,000 trees to be planted along roads, streams, and cemeteries. Up to now, the locality has concreted and asphalted 323 roads and alleys in the area and achieved a lighting rate of over 80%. The creation of a clean living environment without waterlogging and dust, is a local issue that will be resolved in the near future."
