In recent years, the movement of women actively studying, working creatively and building a happy and prosperous family has spread and developed strongly. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Women's Union (WU) Chairwoman of Tan Dinh commune (Bac Tan Uyen district), has clearly demonstrated the role of union officials, contributing to making this movement in the locality become practical.

For nearly 20 years working with WU, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet is mentioned by many people as an example of a high spirit, responsibility, dynamism, creativity and wholeheartedness for union work. As the Chairwoman of Tan Dinh Commune Women's Union, she always takes care of and protect the legitimate rights and interests of women's officials and members; work with a high sense of responsibility to fulfill WU duties.

Perhaps to many people, blowing out candles and cutting cakes on birthdays is very normal. However, difficult life of living and working all year round makes many elder women in rural areas not celebrate their birthday for once. Therefore, Women's Union of Tan Dinh commune has implemented an activity of "Happy birthday to members" from 2016.

The Women's Union reviewed and made sure the date of birth of its elder members to celebrate their birthdays on anniversaries such as International Women's Day (March 8) or Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20). Seeing that the women were excited to participate in this activity, Women's Union of Tan Dinh commune decided to expand it to women's branches. Birthday parties are integrated with quarterly meetings. In addition to discussing WU work, women members also celebrated together their birthdays, cut cakes, blew candles and sang happy birthday song in joy, excitement and happiness.

Nguyen Thi Tuyet said: “Since implementing this activity, women in women's associations have more actively participated in WU activities. They were really happy and emotional. These birthday parties express the sharing, encouragement and concern of Women's Union to its staff and members, contributing to motivating women to unite and actively participate in activities, building a stronger association".

Emulating to follow Uncle Ho’s teachings

To promote the learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, Ms. Tuyet and Executive Board of Tan Dinh Commune Women's Union built a specific plan and implemented it; organized training to study topics on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle integrated with specific annual topics for women members. According to Ms. Tuyet, in order for each woman member to be deeply aware of the content and meaning of studying and following Uncle Ho, the WU always focuses on propagation and dissemination by various appropriate forms based on the actual situation and each target group. Therefore, local women members have actively emulated to follow Uncle Ho through outstanding models such as "Raising piggy banks", "Realizing study dreams - giving scholarships to children who overcome difficulties to study well", "Share a grateful heart” …

In addition, Ms. Tuyet, together with the Executive Board of the WU, launched a program named "Million gifts, sharing love" to 8/8 WU branches, giving support of over 50 million VND to members having unexpected difficult circumstances and on national big holidays; implemented activity of "saving and giving health insurance cards, acting for family's health", giving health insurance cards to poor women officers and members...

WU branches and associations in the commune also regularly organize activities and develop the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean, contributing to the cultivation of Vietnamese family values" combined with emulation movement "Binh Duong women have good health, knowledge, creativity, responsibility", and the campaign "All people unite to build new and improved rural areas".

With specific actions, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet has become a shining example for women to follow. Recently, she was also one of excellent individuals who were praised by the Provincial Women's Union for outstanding achievements in implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05. on learning and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle in the 2021-2023 period...
