Update: 14-11-2012 | 00:00:00

Duong Trong Huu, the student of class 11C4 under Binh An high school in Di An town, who was used to learn at a charity class, has been admired by his classmates, due to his academic achievements. Remembering his late teacher’s teachings, Huu has overcome hardships to teach for poor kids every night.

Duong Trong Huu is teaching for a poor student.

To be a teacher at night and a student by day

At 6 p.m, Huu is present at a charity class in Tan An quarter, Tan Dong Hiep ward, Di An town. As a teacher, Huu looks older than his 17 age. As a good student, Huu is assigned to teach for students of grade 4 and grade 5. After 3 months of teaching, Huu has got 3 good students. This is an unexpected achievement for Tan An quarter managerial board.

Huu revealed that aside from offering homework for students, he often chooses advanced books from bookstores and libraries to teach for his students. Huu also talks about his circumstance to them and encourages them to overcome difficulties in life.

One year ago, Huu taught at a charity class in Binh An ward. After that, he was assigned to teach at the quarter. With his one year experience, Huu has presently become a good teacher for his students.

Overcoming destiny

With a small but experienced build, Huu is both a teacher and student. Therefore, Huu is very busy to pursue his dreams. From the central province of Quang Ngai, Huu’s parents moved to Binh Duong to earn a living 13 year ago. Owing to poor family, his parents sent him to a charity class in Binh An ward. Herein, he had many unforgettable memories.

The founder of the charity class where Huu was used to study passed away. At that time, the teacher sent Huu to Binh An primary school and paid school fee for him. For Huu, the teacher not only was a benefactor but an example helping him overcome difficulties to turn his dreams into reality.

Remembering his teacher’s words, Huu has made greater efforts to be a good teacher for underprivileged students like him.
