"Accompanying border women" program in Dong Thap implemented

On December 20, the Women's Unions of Binh Duong, Dong Thap provinces and the Border Guard Command of Dong Thap province signed a coordination plan on the implementation of the "Accompanying border women" program in the period of 2023-2025.

Accordingly, provincial Women's Union will coordinate with relevant units and localities in Dong Thap province to carry out medical examination and treatment activities, donate "border shelters", plant green trees, support livelihoods for families in difficult border areas... in the period 2023-2025.

At the event, Truong Thanh Nga, Chairwoman of provincial Women's Union presented a symbolic board worth VND 100 million from provincial Fund for the Poor to women from poor and near-poor households in Tan Hong district’s Thong Binh commune; awarded livelihood support of VND 50 million to households with difficult circumstances for economic development in Thong Binh commune; presented works on planting trees and installing lights with a total value of VND 50 million.
