In a series of activities towards disadvantaged women and children in the border region of the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong, the Women's Unions of Binh Duong and Dak Nong provinces and the Border Guard Command of Dak Nong province held a signing ceremony on the program "Accompanying border women" for the period of 2021-2025 on the morning of August 1.
The event was attended by Huynh Phu Quy, Deputy Head of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission together with representatives of a number of the local departments and sectors.
Accordingly, the units will advise their Party committees and coordinate with relevant sectors to support funds for them to well implement the set contents. At the ceremony, the organizers gave livelihood support of VND8million each to 12 disadvantaged women, gave gifts for the Quang Truc communal Women's Union, donated bicycles, notebooks and clothes to poor-but-excellent pupils, offered water purifiers and necessities to poor households.
The program was supported by units and enterprises from Binh Duong province with a total value of nearly VND 400 million. This was a program with practical significance, arousing the will of women to rise, mobilizing contributions by the whole community towards extremely disadvantaged communes in border areas.
