Provincial Students Association yesterday held its second congress for the 2015-2020 tenure. The first tenure of 2010-2015 was of great significance for all students of the province. Students with good learning

In the last tenure, provincial Students Association and its affiliates promoted the campaign of “Student with five good points”: good learning, good morals, good strength, good skills and good integration, aiming to improve the quality of the local students.

Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Chairman of provincial Students Association said: “Under the campaign, the association took initiative in teaming up with relevant agencies to organize a program named “Festive day for young human resources” every two years in order to introduce students with five good points and 3, 4-year students to participating enterprises. Its affiliates also joined hands with schools’ departments to mobilize enterprises to raise money for the scholarship fund for students with five good points; set up a total of 434 clubs and groups that have worked self-consciously in accordance with the association and Youth Union’s orientations …”

In the 2013-2014 academic year, the association’s affiliates reached high achievements in the field of scientific research and application at national-level competitions. The association’s “Giving strength to exam season” program also left good impressions with significant activities done such as giving free bus tickets and meals for candidates and their relatives; introducing accommodations with cheap price to them…In addition, the association offered help to fresh students via the program of “Giving strength to school”.

Voluntary movements getting animated

Along with their efforts in learning, the local students have actively got involved in voluntary movements for the sake of the community. In the 2014 summer youth volunteer campaign, they took part in supporting remote regions of the province and other localities, including Dong Thap’s Cao Lanh, Binh Phuoc’s Bu Dang, Ca Mau’s Thoi Binh and Nam Can, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Dac Nong’s Gia Nghia…

Mrs.Trang said that the voluntary movements of students in the province have reached in-depth development. All affiliates of provincial Students Association have so far set up on-site voluntary teams with significant activities done, comprising of protecting the environment, visiting and presenting gifts to needy people, policy beneficiaries…, thereby creating the chance for the local students to practice and train their skills.

Such these apart, provincial Students Association and its affiliates have actively got involved in the voluntary blood donation campaign with the total amount of blood given annually amounting to nearly 22,000 units…
