Activities celebrate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

Early November 19, Thu Dau Mot University held a get-together to mark the 31st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982-November 20, 2003).

Attending the get-together, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh Van Nhi spoke highly of Thu Dau Mot University’s efforts over the past time while hoping that all staff and students of the school will further strive to work and study for better achievements. Also according to him, Thu Dau Mot University will become a hi-quality center for university and postgraduate education, contributing to supplying the society with highly skilled human resources…

*Di An town’s People’s Committee has just organized a get-together to celebrate the 31st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and honor outstanding teachers.

At the get-together, two collectives were awarded the certificates of merit from the Vietnam General Federation of Labor and provincial People’s Committee. One collective received the emulation banner of provincial Labor Union. Fifteen collectives were awarded the certificates of merit from provincial People’s Committee. Forty six teachers representing more than 2,300 teachers of the entire education sector were also honored at the get-together.

* Tan Uyen district’s Division of Education and Training organized a get-together to mark the 31st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on the morning of November 19.

After two years of implementing the Resolution of the district’s 10th Party Congress on “Improving the quality of education & training and absorbing human resources in the 2011 and 2015 period”, the district’s education sector saw considerable development. Particularly, 100% of managerial staff were standardized in qualification. 22 out of 20 communes and township fulfilled standards on universalization of education for five-year-old children. In the 2012-2013 academic year alone, the district well ensured safety for preschool children. 100% of 5th graders completed primary education, up 0.3% compared to the previous year. The ratio of pupils with high school graduation was 99.26%, up 1.06%.

At the get-together, four outstanding collectives were awarded the certificates of merit from provincial People’s Committee. One individual received the certificate of merit of the Ministry of Education and Training and Binh My primary school was also awarded the emulation banner from provincial People’s Committee.

*The same day, Dau Tieng district’s education and training sector held a get-together to celebrate the 31st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982-November 20, 2013).

The get-together reviewed the 31-year tradition of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and achievements done by the local education sector in the last academic year…On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to four individuals who made contributions to the education sector in the 2012-2013 academic year. Provincial Labor Union also awarded the emulation banners to seven collectives, the certificates of merit to six collectives, ten individuals for their achievements in the emulation movement of “Well laboring” and the activities of the Trade Union in the 2012-2013 academic year…

*Early November 19, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee and Division of Education and Training held a get-together to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and honor forty four outstanding individuals and collectives. Many other noble rewards were also awarded to others for their excellent performance in the 2012 and 2013 academic year.

*Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College has just held a meeting to mark the 31st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, in attendance of 340 school staff and students.

At the meeting, the school reviewed the fine tradition of Vietnamese teachers. The school over time made contributions to training human resources for Binh Duong and the region; was highly appreciated by provincial People’s Committee and affirmed its support role to the local development process…Despite difficulties in recent years, the school has always fulfilled its annual enrollment target...

*The same day, all staff together with 600 pupils of Binh Duong Vocational Junior College gathered to mark the 31st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20).

At the meeting, participants reviewed the good tradition of Vietnamese teachers and honored their contributions to the education sector. On this occasion, the school also launched the emulation movement of “Good learning, good training” and summed up its sports festival marking Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.

*Provincial Military Command has just organized delegations to visit and congratulate teachers, staff at provincial Department of Education and Training, universities and colleges in the province on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.

At the visiting schools, leaders of provincial Military Command presented flower baskets and extended the best wishes to all teachers and staff. They also expressed their delight at achievements made by the schools while believing that all teachers and staff of the schools would strive to reach better achievements in education and training in the coming time.
