Activities in celebration of Party and Lunar New Year 2016 held

On the evening of Feb.1, Thuan An town’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports held a competition on “Kitchen Gods celebrating Party and Lunar New Year 2016”.

The competition took place very ebulliently with special sketches focusing on issues relating to urban civilized lifestyle, traffic safety, prevention of fire and explosion, drugs, prostitution, gambling, wastefulness, corruption, fake and poor-quality products…

Finally, the organizers awarded first prize to Binh Nham ward with “Chuyen khong phai cua troi” (Matter not belongs to God) sketch. Second and third prizes went to An Thanh ward with “Gia dinh nha tao” (Kitchen Gods’family) sketch and Hung Dinh ward with “Xuan yeu thuong” (Spring of love and affection) sketch, respectively. Many other prizes were also presented at the competition.

*The same evening, Dau Tieng district’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports organized the first “Kitchen God” art performance festival 2016.

The festival absorbed 6 teams with 50 candidates, including officials, civil servants and Youth Union members, from agencies, sectors and mass organizations in the district. One after another they performed sketches with contents against social evils, family violence, school violence, bad habits…The festival took place in an ebullient and funny atmosphere, bringing the local audience cheery laughs.

*Phu Giao district’s Veterans Association, on Feb.2, kicked off a sports festival with events: volleyball, table tennis, badminton, tug-of-war, Chinese chess and jogging.

The sports festival aims to mark the 86^th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, celebrate the success of the 12^th National Party Congress and Lunar New Year 2016; further promote the campaign of “All people take physical exercises following the example of great Uncle Ho”; create an useful playground for officials and members, contributing to improve their spiritual life and health.

*The Youth Union of Dong Hoa ward in Di An town has just organized a program in celebration of Party and Lunar New Year 2016 themed “Lang nghe mua xuan ve” (Spring’s coming).

The program took place in a joyful and ebullient atmosphere with such interesting activities as football tournament, karaoke singing contest, folk games, art performance…

On this occasion, the Youth Union of the ward presented 40 gifts worth VND400,000 each to young workers who could not return home for Tet. The Youth Union branch of Nguyen Binh Khiem school also gave 15 gifts for pupils at charity classes.
