Activities of TDM city’s Labor Union in 2014 under review

Early December 29, TDM city’s Labor Union held a conference to review its activities in 2014 and implement orientations, tasks through 2015.

The city’s Labor Union and its affiliates in 2014 organized 748 propaganda shows on the Party and State’s policies and laws. They also admitted additional 875 members or 125% of the projection; set up 17 trade union locals, lifting total number of members up 14,080 or 88.26% of total laborers; excelled at protecting laborers’ legitimate rights and interests; visited and presented 7,413 gifts worth nearly VND2bln to laborers with difficult circumstances, helping them enjoy Tet; mobilized laborers to raise more than VND1bln for the program of “Sentiment towards Hoang Sa-Truong Sa”…

They also effectively promoted emulation movements among laborers and received an enthusiastic response from them, contributing to realizing the local targets on socio-economic development, national defence and security. Reportedly, the whole city in 2014 had a total of 157 trade union locals recognized as powerful ones or 81.76% of total.

At the conference, the city’s Labor Union honored 631 outstanding and individuals in 2014.
