In the afternoon of June 2, the People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district in collaboration with Department of Natural Resources and Environment held a conference to summarize activities in response to World Environment Day of June 5 under the theme of “Only one earth”.

As reported, over the past time, the town has implemented many practical and meaningful propaganda, advocacy and action campaigns to respond to World Environment Day of June 5, in which, three typical programs diligently implemented by the locality have been highly effective in transforming the awareness of the business community and residents namely the deployment of regular visual propaganda and promotion activities in local communities, the program to exchange plastic waste and receive gifts, and the movement of "eradicating pollution from spontaneous landfills".

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Van Phuong, Deputy Chairman of People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district, said that immediately after receiving the document from Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the district has drastically implemented propaganda campaign activities and action plans throughout the region. The contents of propaganda, advocacy and action programs have initially created a positive change in the awareness of protecting and preserving the living environment in the business community and people. In the coming time, the locality will continue to effectively implement propaganda campaigns, advocacy and action programs to promptly disseminate knowledge and laws on environmental protection among the public.
