Activities responding to Youth Month 2023 unanimously started

In the morning of February 26 at Nguyen Du Park of Thu Dau Mot city, the Standing Board of Binh Duong provincial Youth Union coordinated with the authorities, departments, agencies and mass organizations of Thu Dau Mot city to organize the launching of activities to respond to Youth Month 2023.

Youth Month 2023 is with the theme of "Youths pioneering the digital transformation" to be implemented with 5 main groups of content including propaganda and education, activities to promote the spirit of being ahead, volunteerism and creativity of young people in the construction and defense of the fatherland and for the community, activities accompanying young people in starting or setting up businesses, integrating into the world, taking care of officials of the Youth Union, Association, Children Pioneers and children, solutions to build a strong union, expansion of the united front, and the rally of the youth.

At the opening ceremony, the Board of Directors of the provincial Youth Union and the Department of Information and Communications signed a program to coordinate activities between the two units in 2022 – 2026, and awarded youth projects. In addition, the provincial Youth Union organized the launching of volunteer squads to organize Youth Month activities including young knowledge formations of transferring science and technology, SOS formation to support the people, community digital transformation support lineup, youth volunteer formation for urban civilization, youth volunteer formation for the new countryside, squads of young doctors for public health, and youth squads to propagate the laws.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of Thu Dau Mot city carried out a number of activities like donating the youth project to support car driving training tuition fees for the union officials, launching the digital transformation application project in propaganda activities of the Youth Union through the OA platform of the Zalo social network, awarded the works of "Houses of kindness", "Badminton playgrounds", "Children's play area", "Elevating rural steps - Lighting up country roads", visit and gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers and socially-privileged families; activities to propagate the market without plastic waste in Thu Dau Mot city, visit to the medical teams, young doctors, and former youth volunteers.

* In the morning of the same day at Tan Dong Hiep ward of Di An city, Di An Youth Union organized the Youth Month of 2023. Accordingly, the Youth Union organized a booth to exchange waste for trees and launch of youth volunteer squads to clean up the park and collect iron nails on the roads.

Along with that, the local Youth Union directed the wards to organize appropriate and practical Youth Month activities in the locality in order to contribute to building a green, clean, and beautiful city.

*At Thanh Hoi commune People's Committee in Tan Uyen town, morning of February 26, Tan Uyen town held a ceremony to kick off Youth Month 2023.

At the ceremony, the Youth Union launched Youth Month in implementing meaningful youth projects and tasks. Along with that, the town Council collaborated with Thuan Thao General Clinic and the local Young Doctors Club to organize the program of "Young Doctors' Day to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s orders - Volunteering for the community health" for the first time in 2023. At the festival, doctors and nurses examine, test blood, measure blood pressure, take X-rays, acupuncture, and distribute medicine for free to 250 people in the commune. The festival has a total cost of more than VND 180 million.

* In Bac Tan Uyen district, the local Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union of the provincial Police, and the Youth Union of Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company to organize a series of activities to kick off the Youth Month 2023 with essential contents.

Specifically, the units coordinated to inaugurate the project of "Lighting up the country roads" to install solar street lights on Tan Thanh 52 route in Quarter 4 of Tan Thanh town with a value of VND 10 million. In addition, the district Union also held the opening ceremony of "Green Sunday" to clear and clean the self-governing route, and to organize a series of legal propaganda at Le Loi High School.
