Activities to celebrate great holidays must be solemn and suitable to pandemic situation

On November 11, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee chaired a meeting of provincial Steering Committee for great holidays to approve a plan on the organization of activities in celebration of great holidays and the “Lunar New Year” Tet festival 2022. The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of departments and agencies in the province.

According to the draft plan, Binh Duong will organize activities to celebrate great holidays such as a program in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Binh Duong's development and a special art program in celebration of the 2022 New Year (January 1, 1997- 1.1.2022), a Binh Duong - Binh Phuoc TV art program-25 years of confident progress, the cross-country running tournament "Welcoming New Year"; a program celebrating the 92nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and welcoming the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival  2022...

Concluding the meeting, Mr.Thao basically agreed with the contents of the draft plan while noting that the organization of activities in celebration of great holidays must be close, unified, synchronous and solemn, creating a joyful and excited atmosphere among the people, but must be suitable to the situation of Covid-19 pandemic. He also suggested provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to collect appropriate comments to supplement and complete the plan while asking for provincial People's Committee to clearly assign responsibilities to relevant departments and agencies in coordinating and organizing planned celebrations under the plan.
