Additional momentum for new development

Saturday, 12/04/2025

Yesterday (April 11), during its 22nd (special) session, the 10th provincial People’s Council passed several important resolutions on public investment, planning and land management. These are resolutions with particularly important contents, meeting practical requirements and are expected to create a strong driving force, promoting breakthroughs and accelerating socio-economic development of the province in the coming time

One of the key projects approved at this session is the Urban Railway Line No.1 (Binh Duong New City – Suoi Tien, Ho Chi Minh City), with a total main line length of 32.43 kilometers, running through four cities in the province: Di An, Thuan An, Thu Dau Mot and Tan Uyen. The project is expected to be finalized and submitted to the National Assembly for investment approval in May, commence construction in 2027, and be completed for operation by 2031. This is a key project aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and facilitating convenient travel for residents between Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh city. The project not only creates momentum for socio-economic development, but also contributes to the formation of a new, smart, civilized and modern urban infrastructure system, which is receiving much public attention and is expected by the people.

Along with the urban railway project, provincial People’s Council also approved several other significant resolutions related to public investment, planning and land management. These include resolutions approving the general planning task for the new Tan Lap urban area in North Tan Uyen district; the investment policy for the Saigon riverside road construction project and the general planning task for the new Binh My urban area in North Tan Uyen district...These resolutions aim at mobilizing additional resources, improving infrastructure and shaping new development spaces.

It can be said that along with other new development drivers such as the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on “Breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation” and the streamlining of the political system’s organizational structure,  the deployment of major socio-economic infrastructure projects is generating strong momentum for the province’s breakthrough development in the future…
