This memory always moved him to tears.After the liberation, General Giap visited Binh Duong to meet key provincial leaders and officers. Mr. Hieu, who was provincial Party Committee Member cum Secretary of Chau Thanh district Party Committee at that time, listened to precious experiences of Gen. Giap. The General treated enemies with great tolerance, and reminded our cadres to have lenient policies for defeated enemies. He also said about famous words about clemency to inhibit losses. General vision far away , before he left, he wanted to take back home to be buried in Quang Binh and he wanted his country will become more developed. He had a remarkable breadth of vision.
