Holding a role in opening routes for local socio-economic development, transport traffic system in Binh Duong has been zoned and invested methodically over the past years. These routes have been linked with satellite urban areas and industrial parks, bounding for the hub of the new city. Sources and materials have been transported across the Southern key economic zone to international ports and foreign nations in the most rapid and effective way. Thanks to transparency on traffic design, geological distance between rural and urban areas has been narrowed, contributing positively to build and develop a civilized and advanced Binh Duong city.

Traffic system at Binh Duong New City is built modernly.

A key role The national highway No.13 – a strategic traffic work - has held a key role for Binh Duong to develop industry and urban area strongly. Besides, the national highway No.13 has connected and developed urban centers in the Northern area with industrial and urban hubs in the Southern zone. These centers have bounded for Binh Duong New City with the shortest distance. As for external role, the national highway No.13 is considered as a bridge increasing value of commodities produced at industrial parks and compounds. Meanwhile, routes such as DT741, My Phuoc-Tan Van, belt road 3 have opened new traffic corridors to promote role of satellite urban areas surrounding Binh Duong new city and to create new corridors linking Binh Duong with HCMC and international ports and logistic centers. Besides, DT746 and DT744 have connected hub of the new city with historic relics, tourism sites, industrial parks, centers of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao and Tan Uyen districts. These roads have continued to create impetus for synchronously developing districts in the Northern areas. Thu Bien bridge, 7A road, Thoi An bridge have held an important role in connecting traffic network from the eastern to western, upholding advantages of the key economic zone and the national traffic network, sea ports, airports and making up a driving force for improving competitive capacity. "Backbone" of development A project of building Binh Duong industry-service-urban complex was approved by the Construction Ministry in line with the Decision No.522/QD-BXD on March 27, 2006. Accordingly, the main traffic axis connects with the complex and routes. Based on the project, Binh Duong has focused on building a young, civilized, dynamic, modern and environmentally friendly urban areas in which traffic infrastructure holds a very important role in developing old and new urban areas synchronously. Vo Van Kiet road linking with DT743 and belt road No.6 connecting with the national highway No.13 have made up the Southern gateway while Pham Ngoc Thanh road leading to the provincial centralized administration center and My Phuoc-Tan Van road have created a perfect traffic system, connecting smooth traffic network between Binh Duong and HCMC and Dong Nai. Meanwhile, belt road No.2B linking the complex's eastern area with DT746 is a gateway leading to Thanh Phuoc port and Thi Vai deep water port, etc. Belt road N14 conjoining DT741 is the Northern gateway of complex, holding role of receiving and transporting goods from provinces of Binh Phuoc and central highland region. In addition, once belt road 4 completed, it will link urban areas of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and HCMC. Especially, upgrading and expanding DT742 along with making up Di An - Loc Ninh railway and urban railway from Binh Duong new city to Suoi Tien will create a perfect traffic network in the region and the Southern key economic zone. The provincial Transport Department director Le Van Rum concluded "The provincial administration targets to develop satellite urban areas, bounding for hub of the new city. Thenceforth, they will spread neighboring provinces, cities. Thanks to strong development in traffic system, distance between rural and urban areas has been narrowed, changing and improving quality of living of Binh Duong people".
