AIA’s new business up 65%

Life insurer AIA Vietnam in the first quarter of the year saw the value of new business up 65% versus the same period of 2012 while its annualized new premiums increased 40%.

Since its inception of February 2000, AIA Vietnam has so far developed more than 18,000 agents with more than 500 staff. AIA Vietnam now reaches more than 320,000 insurance contracts across the country. As of March 2013, AIA Vietnam paid more than 1.2trillion for 179,000 cases. In 2012, it was among top 300 enterprises to pay corporate income tax in Vietnam
