In recent days after the Tet holiday, many enterprises have welcomed their employees returning to work. As of February 18, the number of employees returning to work across the province reached more than 80%. At many enterprises, 100% employees returned to work.

Specifically, VAS Tue Minh Steel Joint Stock Company (Dat Cuoc commune, Bac Tan Uyen district), has 800/800 employees returning to work, reaching 100%; Thanh Le Import-Export Trading Corporation - Joint Stock Company has 475 employees, reaching 100%; Industrial Investment and Development Corporation - JSC has 2,006 employees, reaching 100%; Dau Tieng Rubber Company has 1,044 employees, reaching 100%; Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company has 2,300 employees, reaching 100%...

At Shyang Hung Cheng Company (An Thanh Production Cluster, Thuan An City), 5,095/6,146 employees that have returned to work. Kim Xuong Vietnam Footwear Company (Dai Dang Industrial Park, Phu Tan Ward, Thu Dau Mot City) has more than 70% of employees back at work /total 3,400 employees; Kolon Industries Vietnam Company (Tan Uyen City) has 964/1,338 employees returning to work...

Grassroots trade unions of these enterprises are actively calling for workers to return to work to ensure the delivery of products to partners; at the same time, launching many emulation movements of good workers, creative workers, and thrift practicing movements in production to benefit businesses and localities...

Ly Van Ca, grassroots Trade Union President of Kim Xuong Vietnam Footwear Company, said that employees at this company took day offs from lunar December 29 to January 5. On the morning of the 6th day of the Lunar New Year, the company resumed operations and thousands of workers returned to work. The grassroots Trade Union and Directors Board of the company gave lucky money to employees to create an energetic and joyful atmosphere in the first working days. “The company's Trade Union thanks employees for returning to work on time to promptly deliver products to partners, helping the company win trust of customers, get more orders, and help employees find stable jobs," Ca said.

Trade unions at all levels in the province coordinate with businesses to give lucky money to workers to encourage the spirit of good and creative labor right from the beginning of the new year 2024.

Oriented towards employees

Activities at the beginning of the new year at grassroots trade unions and companies were very bustling. Many enterprises also offered "hot" bonuses for employees who actively work in the first days of the new year Giap Thin 2024. Nguyen Duy Phuong, grassroots Trade Union President of Compass 2 Company in Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park 1, said that the new year's working atmosphere is spirited. This is a sign for the company to guarantee on-time delivery to partners. For employees who work 8 hours per day, in addition to receiving lucky money, the company will also transfer 350,000 VND to their bank account to encourage their spirit.

Generally, in Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks 1 and 2, Dai Dang, Song Than, My Phuoc, Nam Tan Uyen, Bau Bang Industrial Parks..., trade unions at all levels are actively monitoring the number of workers returning to work and busy with the work of taking care of workers at the beginning of the new year, especially organizing trips for workers, spring celebration activities integrated with production tasks. Many enterprises also launched movements of good and creative workers to encourage employees to work actively and enthusiastically to achieve the best output, contributing to the sustainable development of the enterprises and localities.

The Provincial Labor Confederation is also actively calling on trade unions at all levels to support companies, enterprises and employees to stabilize production in the first days of the new year 2024. In order to support businesses with labor resources as well as help employees to find jobs in the first months of 2024, the Labor Confederation coordinated with Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to enhance consultation and job introduction for workers; connect and introduce suitable jobs according to job search needs, continue to open direct and online job transactions for new employees; especially an opening of the job transaction session in early spring. This will be a favorable opportunity for companies to recruit more workers and for workers to have new job opportunities.

According to Pham Van Tuyen, Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, according to forecast, the labor market would still be volatile in the first quarter of 2024 and this would last until the second quarter of 2024. Recruitment demands of businesses in the first months of 2024 are still concentrated in some areas, such as: garment, footwear, wood, food, mechanics, chemicals, hardware... It is forecast that labor demand in the first 6 months of 2024 would be 25,000 - 30,000 workers, mainly unskilled workers and skilled laborers account for 80%. Labor resources mainly supplement the number of workers lost after the Tet holiday. Besides, the situations of job hopping, changing jobs in search of new environments and salaries will also make the labor recruitment market more dynamic at the end of the first quarter of 2024...
