“All people unite to build cultural lifestyle” movement develops strongly, with positive results

Over the past years, the "All people unite to build cultural lifestyle" movement in Thu Dau Mot city continued widely being deployed, really going deep into people's lives. The effect of the movement had a positive impact on many aspects of social life, becoming a large patriotic emulation movement of the people, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

As a movement that has had a positive impact on many aspects of social life, over the past years, the "All people unite to build cultural lifestyle" movement received special attention from all-level Party committees, authorities, departments and mass organizations of Thu Dau Mot city. The Steering Committees of the movement of the city and wards set up and implemented annual plans on carrying out the movement in accordance with the local actual situation while well organizing the registration, selection, recognition and commendation of cultural titles and summarizing the movement in accordance with regulations.

Phan Huu Nghia, Head of Thu Dau Mot city’s Culture and Information Department said that over the past years, the city’s “All people unite to build cultural lifestyle” movement continued achieving certain results, developing both in width and in depth. The contents of the movement were brought into the resolutions of the Party congresses, the resolutions of the Party Committees and People's Councils at all levels as a basis for leadership, direction with specific targets for each year. Based on their assigned functions and tasks, the  departments, divisions, Fatherland Front, mass organizations and People's Committees of the city and wards set up plans and programs to integrate and implement the movement to all members, Youth Union members, cadres, civil servants, employees and locals.

With the attention and synchronous implementation, the movement created changes in awareness, ideology, morality and lifestyle among people from all strata. Each cadre, Party member and citizen obviously saw their responsibility in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, creating the strength of great national unity. Especially, through the implementation of the movement, the beautiful lifestyle and good jobs continued being promoted and spreading widely in the community. Many typical individuals and cultural families in the city became typical examples in building prosperous, equal, harmonious, progressive and happy families.

Further promoting implementation

Determining the focus of the goal of improving the quality of the movement is to improve the quality of cultural titles, Thu Dau Mot city has bent on promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to actively respond to the movement. This is considered as one of the regular, immediate and long-term important tasks of localities, agencies and units to coordinate, direct and organize effective implementation. Especially, the registration, selection and request for recognition of annual cultural titles are carried out publicly, democratically and in accordance with standards, so the rate of reaching titles and the quality of the movement is increasing.

Mr. Nghia added that in order to achieve the above results, in addition to well realizing the contents of the movement, Thu Dau Mot city also integrated the implementation of the project to improve the quality of the campaign "Building civilized urban, cultural lifestyle". “Through the mass media, social networks, the city’s Culture - Information Division regularly informed the local households of the contents that need attention in order to raise public awareness, thereby joining hands in the implementation and compliance with regulations. Propaganda was carried out regularly, continuously and for a long time and brought positive effects, contributing to improving the quality of the local movement over the past time”, he said.

With the effectiveness and deep-wide impact of the movement over the past time, Thu Dau Mot city determines that this is one of the important movements that the locality will further promote and improve its quality in the coming time. Phan Huu Nghia said that this year, Thu Dau Mot city will further carry out the movement of "All people unite to build civilized urban and new-style rural areas” while mobilizing people to respond to the project of improving the quality of the campaign "Building cultural and civilized urban lifestyle" with high efficiency. The campaigns, movements and cultural contents will be carried out in association with the implementation of socio-economic and professional tasks. The city has also set out targets this year.  Particularly, the city will strive to reach 98.55%, 98,5%, 99.55%, 99.5% and above in the rate of cultural families, quarters, agencies and lodging facilities, respectively.
