An 8X Doctor be enthusiastic about teaching profession

After working in his profession for 15 years, Nguyen Tri, geography teacher at Dau Tieng High School (Dau Tieng district), has always been appreciated by friends and colleagues for his professional capacity and been loved and respected by students.  With love for his profession and students, this teacher always strives hard for the cause of cultivating people. In 2023, Nguyen Tri is one of 4 teachers in Binh Duong honored by the Ministry of Education and Training as an "Outstanding Teacher" of the year.

Enthusiastic about the profession

We met Tri at Dau Tieng High School on the days approaching the celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20). Joy seems to be present on faces of all teachers and students in the school, because Tri has won the title of "Outstanding Teacher" of 2023 awarded by Ministry of Education & Training

Tri said he was born and raised in a farming family in Huong Son district of Ha Tinh province. “From a young age, I had a passion for teaching and wanted to stand on the podium to impart knowledge to students. To turn my dream into reality, I worked hard every day. After finishing high school, I chose to enter Da Nang University of Education to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher," Tri told his story.

After graduating from Da Nang University of Education in 2008, young teacher Nguyen Tri applied and was assigned to work at Dau Tieng High School until now. Here, this young teacher took his first steps full of confidence and steadfastness, demonstrating his abilities with many personal achievements. He and the school team overcame many difficulties to cultivate many generations of students.

During the teaching process, Tri constantly researches, learns, and improves his professional qualifications. The teacher always carefully prepares each lesson plan to impart the best knowledge to students; does research and applies innovative teaching methods, uses appropriate teaching aids and equipment to create lively, intuitive lessons, helping students learn and remember lessons easily. 

In addition, Tri constantly studies and trains to improve his professional qualifications despite meeting above standards; he teaches students with a sense of responsibility and efficiency, and was recognized and highly appreciated by Provincial Department of Education & Training, Dau Tieng High School, and the professional team. In 2011, Tri attended Master's degree program in geography at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. In 2014, he continued to be accepted as a graduate student. In 2020, he successfully defended his doctoral thesis.

Effort pays off

15 years working with the education training career, Nguyen Tri has affirmed himself in the cause of "cultivating people". Only 39 years old this year, Tri has extensive experience in the teaching profession with a brilliant record of achievements including many certificates and awards. "To get today good results, I always pay attention to arranging appropriate time to both successfully complete teaching tasks and complete graduate studies and scientific research... However, I am also very lucky to have colleagues and family who are always by my side, ready to help and share difficulties. And most of all, love for the profession and love for students is always the motivation for me to overcome difficulties," Tri confided.

Talking about the most passionate thing in his educational career, Tri said that watching generations of students grow up and succeed in life is the joy of any teacher. Teachers like him always want to fully equip students with good knowledge, leading them to confidently have the best equipment to enter life and become useful people for society.

“As knowing that I am lucky to be one of four teachers in the province recognized by Ministry of Education & Training, I felt honored, proud and a little worried. I am honored that my efforts and contributions have yielded results and have been recognized by everyone, but I am worried because now I have to try harder to achieve greater achievements and set an example for the next generation of young people,” Tri expressed.

Nguyen Canh Thuy, Principal of Dau Tieng High School, said that no matter what position Tri is in, he completes all assigned tasks. In his professional work, Tri always tries to actively innovate teaching and training methods, stimulate students' initiative, cooperation, and excitement. As a member of the school's Party Committee, Tri is always at the forefront of the emulation movement of good teaching and learning, and has made many contributions to improving the quality of education and emulating rewarding work at the school. Tri is a shining example and the pride of the school.

15 years working with the education training career, Nguyen Tri has affirmed himself in the cause of "cultivating people". Specifically, by 2023, Tri has 14 scientific articles published in prestigious journals nationwide; participated in writing reference books published by Vietnam Education Publishing House; participated in compiling local educational materials in Binh Duong province; has 11 initiatives and solutions recognized by the industry and provincial levels; 2 times consecutively won the title of provincial-level emulation soldier; three times received certificates of merit from the Chairman of Provincial People's Committee...
