An exemplary student of getting out of poverty to emerge in learning

Born and grown up in a family with difficult circumstances, and although her life is full of chaos and deprivation, Tang Dao Hanh Nguyen, a student of Class 7A3 of Cay Truong Secondary School at Cay Truong II commune with the energy and desire to fulfill dreams and ambitions for the future have always strived to excel in school and in life.

If you have an opportunity to go to Cay Truong commune to volunteer, and give gifts and books to local poor students with good academic achievements, you, on contacting local people with the guidance of commune officials, will be led the family of Tang Dao Hanh Nguyen - a poor student who has overcome hardship to study well at school, and also the one that has received scholarships from local authorities and benefactors for many years.

Located on the roadside at the gateway of Ong Chai hamlet, the small house of Hanh Nguyen's family has never lacked the laughter and joy of children. According to Cao Qui Ngoc Tuyen - an officer in charge of family work and children and poverty reduction of Cay Truong commune, Tang Dao Hanh Nguyen's family belongs to the local poor household. The child's parents, because of their old age and poor health, only stay at home to do light jobs; and their income is not enough to ensure their lives and take care of their children's education.

Nguyen's family has all 3 sisters. Nguyen's sister is Grade 10 this year; and her younger brother is in kindergarten. Her father works as a bicycle repairman at home while her mother also stayed at home to take care of young children for workers' families in the neighborhood. The average total income of the family is only VND 6 million a month, so life is still harsh and lacking. More disadvantaged than their peers, but the Nguyen sisters are very gentle, docile and filial. Expressing their compasionate for their parents in hardship, the Nguyen sisters always encourage one another to study well so that they can have a stable job in the future, and have the best conditions to care for and nurture their parents in old and weak time. Hanh Nguyen herself is a good student for many years - an example for many to follow.

Sharing about her learning method, Tang Dao Hanh Nguyen said: “I don't have the conditions to go to extra classes. In addition to focusing on listening to lectures in class, I also go online to learn and do more advanced exercises. If a lesson is difficult, I may go to the class and ask the teacher or discuss it with my friends." In particular, Nguyen has a great interest and passion for literature. Nguyen's dream is to become a writer in the future.

“The children have been able to go to school to this day thanks to the attention and support of the school and the local authority. We feel very reassured and always advise our children to try harder to study well so that in the future they can change their lives and relieved from the help of teachers and benefactors,” Tang Hung - Hanh Nguyen's father shared about his little but energetic daughter. Hopefully, with energy and aspiration, Nguyen will go through difficult years to work hard and study so that her dream will soon come true.
