“Ao Dai now and then” festival is meaningful and practical

Early March 8, provincial Women's Union  in collaboration with Do Trinh Hoai Nam Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) brand, Golden Lotus Fashion Joint Stock Company organized the “Ao Dai now and then” festival on the occasion of the 1,983th anniverary of the Hai Ba Trung (the Trung Sisters) uprising and the 113th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8).

The event was attended by Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education Commission; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice- Chairwoman of provincial People's Council; heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroines of the people's armed forces, heroines of labor in the renewal period...

Speaking at the event, Mr. Loc said that over the past time, provincial Women's Union made great efforts in overcoming all difficulties, with rich models and activities and achieved lots of outstanding results. Provincial Women's Union was honored to be awarded the flag of emulation by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for its excellent performance in the Southeast Cluster. Although being new activities, the “Ao Dai now and then” festival, the Ao Dai week …, organized by provincial Women's Union, were imbrued with national identity.

 On this occasion, representatives of Women's Unions of districts, towns and cities in the province; leaders of provincial State Employees’ Trade Union and Association for Women Executives and Entrepreneur presented symbolic boards of more than 1,100 sets of white Ao Dai for female students and 113 sets of Ao Dai for female officials and workers with difficult circumstances, with a total value of VND 379 million, Binh Duong Lottery One- Member Ltd.Co. also donated VND 50 million to poor women, supporting their livelihood for a stable life... The delegates also enjoyed 3 special collections of Ao Dai by designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam.
