Excitement

Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, said that the Department of Education and Training has determined that the propaganda and education of traffic safety laws for students is an important and regular task to help children raise awareness about obeying the law when participating in traffic, contributing to reducing accidents, and building traffic culture. Therefore, the traffic safety contest is held annually by the Department of Education and Training in order to diversify forms of propaganda and education, and create a playground to maintain the movement and encourage students to be self-disciplined in learning, and comply with the provisions of the law on traffic safety.

“Approve the results of the contest to evaluate the effectiveness of traffic safety law dissemination and education in schools in the province. Upholding the high sense of responsibility, the Organizing Committee marked the excellent performance of the contestants ans the contest achieved great results," said Phong.

Major Le Khac Long, Deputy Captain of the Propaganda, Investigation, Accident and Traffic Violations Team under Traffic Police Department of the provincial Public Security, and Head of the Jury of the contest to evaluate the students from the teams affirmed that the contest has quite comprehensive knowledge in the field of traffic safety according to the requirements of the Organizing Committee. In the knowledge test, many students answered all 25 questions correctly. In the traffic sign jigsaw competition, and guessing the name of the traffic signs in less than 1 minute, they had already guessed all 5 signs. In the part of handling violations and eloquence, the students pointed out the wrong points of the violators very quickly and accurately.

According to Major Long, in the competition to guess the name of the traffic signs, students of each school have a different but very effective way of expressing themselves. They have a good combination to describe the signs just in 1 or 2 gestures for the teammates to guess and say the name of the signs correctly in very nice and creative manner. Hopefully, thanks to the contest, they will improve their legal knowledge, to perform well and spread the message of traffic safety to everyone around.

Meaningful playground

As noted by our reporter at the contest, the performances were very lively and exciting. Nguyen Ngoc Bao Tran, a student of class 12AB1 from Di An High School in Di An city, shared that to answer correctly the requirements set by the organizers, candidates must know the terms, conditions, and ending situations for viewing images. Remembering the signs will help road users comply with the regulations and avoid collisions on the road.

When driving, you must concentrate and not be distracted; changing lanes must be coupled with the turning signals; vehicles must have rear-view mirrors; acceleration and reckless overtaking can cause accidents; and you should especially remind and propagate to those around you to drive in accordance with the Road Traffic Law.
