Spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunying told a press briefing on August 29 that at the meeting, involved parties will exchange views on the implementation of the DOC, intensifying maritime cooperation and consultation on a Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC).
She said parties concerned will continue the momentum of dialogue and cooperation, strive for more progress, and pave way for further consultation on the COC.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China will organise the 22nd meeting of their Joint Working Group on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC) in Manila, the Philippines, on August 30.
