Entering the cooperative’s gate, we witness 4 containers waiting for export. From post-Tet holiday to now, the cooperative has constantly exported its products. Despite difficulties of economy, the cooperative has maintained its production and export to the EU and US markets.

To win a stable material source, the cooperative has set up numerous cooperatives producing sedge, rattan, bamboo, water hyacinth and so on in Long An, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Dong Thap and Thanh Hoa province.
Besides, the cooperative takes advantage of Scripus littoralis schrab in Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces to produce handicraft products.
In 1994, the cooperative exported its products to the US by goods transit via Canada and Neitherland. In 2000, the cooperative’s director sent a moving letter to Hilary Clinton, the first lady of the United States’ president on a visit of the US president Bill Clinton to Vietnam. After that, the US positively helped the cooperative export and exhibit its products at the country. Now, Ba Nhat’s products have appeared over 40 nations all over the world.
Nguyen Thi Cuc, head of the cooperative, said integrating into the US market is a breakthrough to develop the cooperative and cooperating with the world retail companies of Work Mark, Ikea, Target… is a solid foundation for development”.
In 2010 alone, the cooperative’s turnover won VND188,9bil, a 10.87% rise from 2009. Besides, the cooperative reached US$10.2mil in export turnover in the same year. At present, the cooperative has had 1,355 laborers on the spot and over 20,000 outsourcing workers nationwide.
