Up to date, Thu Dau Mot dity has basically achieved and exceeded a number of basic targets; in which, 11 out of 36 targets were met and exceeded, 12 achieved at 76 - 99.9% according to the target of the resolution of the city's Party Committee for 2022.

According to the assessment, the Thu Dau Mot city Party Committee has focused on leading the successful implementation of the socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security, consolidating and building a strong political system in accordance with the law by the stated goals and tasks. Specifically, the city has basically achieved and exceeded a number of basic targets with 11 out of 36 targets achieved and exceeded, 12 achieved at 76 - 99.9% of the target set by the city Party Committee for the year 2022.

Nguyen Thu Cuc - Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot city People's Committee, said that with efforts focusing on solving difficulties and removing obstacles, the city has achieved positive results by improving the investment environment, and promoting more and more efficient production and business activities. Up to date, the total state budget revenue from socio-economic development is nearly VND 8,039 billion, gaining 91% of the target set by the province and the city Council's resolution; 2,174 new business registration certificates were issued with a total capital of VND 443 billion. In addition, the city ensures to well implement the protection and care of people's health and disease prevention and control with focus on socio-cultural fields, social security, labor and guaranteed employment.

For the building the CPV and the political system, the city Party Committee has admitted 185 elite people to the CPV, gaining nearly 82% of the target set by the resolution. Internal affairs, judicial reform, and anti-corruption have always been taken care of by the city Party Committee to lead and direct the effective implementation. The inspection and supervision have been strengthened and promoted according to the set schedule. Activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have been renewed through the construction of specific models and movements.

Implementing the project to improve the quality of the campaign of constructing a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle, in the 9 months of 2022, the city has built many new practical models, which have been operating to bring about positive effects to the society such as the motorbike taxi groups, play area in residential area for children, model of green nursery of the Youth Union, the green office model, the trade union mark in the green city of the Trade Union, the model of VND-0 market of the Red Cross, the model of charity profile, free wifi at the park of Phu Loi ward, the model of housing area with kindness, compassion and civilized behavior of Hoa Phu ward, the model of green accommodation of Hiep An ward etc. Up to date, 100% of business households and households in the city have trash cans and bags; and the percentage of domestic solid waste collected is 99.6%; 81.6% of households connected to wastewater treatment system.

To overcome drawbacks

Nguyen Van Dong - Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city Party Committee, emphasized that besides the achieved results, there are still many limitations and shortcomings that need solutions. Accordingly, all levels, branches, units and localities need to review the resolution to focus on directing, monitoring and urging the completion of assigned targets. In particular, it is necessary to focus on completing urban planning in the city to ensure the quality and planning process to keep up with the progress of the province. The localities and the tax sector need to continue to try to maximize the revenue sources, in which, the wards need to focus on drastically collecting non-agricultural land use tax, paying attention to the disbursement of public investment capital, especially ensuring the implementation of the route along the Saigon River in accordance with the schedule of the province. In addition, it is necessary to advise the province to arrange public land areas in the city to create conditions for the expansion, renovation and embellishment of Thu Dau Mot urban areas.

In particular, Nguyen Van Dong noted the need to ensure political security, social order and safety, especially during the Lunar New Year. Accordingly, the police, military and the city's Trade Union must coordinate in time to grasp the situation of public opinion, especially in the labor forces to prevent strikes and unexpected disturbance.
