Bau Bang district – a place of brilliant construction of cultural zones and hamlets

Bau Bang district currently has 43 neighborhoods and hamlets that have won the title of cultural zones and hamlets, in which, many typical and outstanding zones and hamlets have been recognized. The movement to build cultural zones and hamlets over the past time has brought about many positive effects, contributing to the improvement of people's quality of life, and building a cultural and civilized lifestyle to form solidarity among the people.

For the characteristic that most people in the area are people from other provinces and cities coming to live and set up a business, propaganda and advocacy work has always been focused on by the Executive Board of Suoi Can hamlet at Cay Truong 2 commune to create unity among the people. Suoi Can hamlet currently has more than 230 households. People's income is mainly from smallholder rubber tapping and trade. Promoting the spirit of community responsibility, over the past time, the people of Suoi Can hamlet have always been a typical example in the movement to donate land to build rural roads. Currently, in the hamlet, more than 60% of roads have been completely concreted with only 4 remaining routes expected to be implemented this June.

Every year, we often praise and encourage households that do well in such activities. Therefore, all movements and activities are positively responded by the local people. In addition, we always try to constantly improve the quality of the criteria to help the hamlet maintain the title of cultural hamlet for many years, contributing to the construction of a new rural standard commune with the locality.”

In the somewhat sultry weather of the early days of May, we were led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuoc, Head of the Executive Board of Bau Long neighborhood in Lai Uyen town to visit the green, clean, beautiful and airy routes in the neighborhood. The people of Bau Long neighborhood have also had many meaningful jobs to contribute to the successful construction of a town up to urban civilization standards with the locality. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuoc said: “The results achieved today are thanks to the consensus and high consensus of the people. People always actively participate in local movements and activities, especially movements related to building cultural quarters. In particular, each family always raises their awareness of building a cultural family, implementing a civilized lifestyle in funerals and weddings. Thanks to that, the people's economy is also constantly developing; the material and spiritual life is always improved; and the neighborhood's appearance has changed a lot.

Continual improvement of the quality of the area and hamlet

The movement to build cultural zones and hamlets associated with the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas in Bau Bang district has been widely deployed to receive the active participation and response of all classes of people. This is one of the important contents of the movement of "All people unifying to build cultural life in residential areas." In order to effectively implement the movement, every year, the Steering Committee of the movement at all levels deploys many activities, which closely follow the criteria for proposing specific solutions to actively propagate and mobilize people to well implement the criteria in various forms. On the other hand, Steering Committees at all levels regularly coordinate to inspect, supervise and guide establishments to develop activities suitable to local realities, bringing high efficiency in order to maintain the title of cultural zone and hamlet for many consecutive years.

In addition, the district Movement Steering Committee continues to maintain advanced models and examples such as "All people protect national security", "Collecting scraps at the grassroots", "Good farmers helping poor farmers overcome hardship” and so on. These models and movements have contributed to improvement of people's lives in the district. Along with that, many models showing the spirit of mutual affection, helping each other in life and in production have also been replicated. In 2021, Bau Bang district has 16,719 out of 17,116 households recognized as cultural families, gaining 97.4%; all 43 zones and hamlets achieved the title of cultural zones and hamlets, gaining the rate of 100%; 335 out of 343 cultural hostels, gaining the rate of 89.8%; all 6 communes achieving the title of "Community meeting new rural cultural standards"; 1 town meeting urban civilization standards, gaining the rate of 100%. In 2022, the whole district will have 17,661 households registering their cultural families, 43 zones, registered cultural hamlets and 371 out of 486 registered hostels for cultural titles.

Talking to us, Mr. Nguyen Ly Hong Vu, Head of Culture and Information Department of Bau Bang district, said that in the coming time, the district would continue to coordinate with localities to effectively implement the measures to improve the quality of the movement "All people unifying to build a cultural life" including the movement to build cultural zones and hamlets. Accordingly, the whole district will try to maintain the annual rate of cultural families, zones and hamlets at 90-96%; progressive examples will be promptly praised and replicated to create the spillover effects so that social evils are gradually repelled, and the nation's fine traditional cultural values ​​are preserved and promoted to improve the material, cultural and spiritual life of the people.
