To provide healthcare for people with meritorious services to the revolution
The district Office of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has organized for 172 people with meritorious services and their families to do the general health examination at Medic Binh Duong Hospital. Nguyen Anh Hung, a 4/4 wounded soldier in Tan Hung commune, was very glad to receive the care of Party committees and local authorities. Hung said: "Every year, the local authorities visit, give practical gifts, spiritual encouragement to us. This year, we were able to do a general health examination after a long period of being affected by the pandemic, we are very happy and thankful."
Doan Thi Hue, a victim of Agent Orange/dioxin and is currently living in Lai Uyen town, smiled happily and said: "Not only on occasion of national holidays, Tet festivals but also on normal days, local authorities regularly encourage, visit my family, and offer helps. When I was sick, the commune’s administration provided material support, spiritual encouragement, helped me overcome the disease soon. All of these actions have inspired confidence and motivated us to overcome difficulties and settle down."
Similarly, hundreds of people with meritorious services to the revolution and policy families in Bau Bang District have been in the dedicated and thoughtful care. Nguyen Phu Cuong, Vice Chairman of Bau Bang District People's Committee, said: "With a desire to ease the pain and loss of individuals and families who made sacrifices for the cause of national liberation and national unity, as well as in the construction and defense of the Fatherland, in addition to priority policies, in free medical examination and treatment sessions organized in the district, we always prioritize policy groups, people with meritorious services. In order for policy families to have a better life, in addition to the monthly allowance as prescribed, the district also regularly visits to learn about their lives, thoughts and aspirations. Since then, the district has called on organizations and individuals to join hands to help the policy people alleviate difficulties."
Lots of practical care activities
Every year, Bau Bang District calls for and mobilizes social resources to establish a Gratitude Fund. The fund is used to help policy groups who have difficult circumstances. The district also provides crops, seedlings and vocational trainings to help policy groups have practical knowledge and advanced techniques for business development and poverty alleviation.
To uphold the gratitude tradition, in recent years, Bau Bang District Youth Union directed youth organizations to simultaneously carry out many meaningful gratitude activities, such as: repairing, cleaning, creating a green - clean - beautiful environment, and incense lighting ceremonies at cemeteries, martyrs' monuments, memorials, traditional revolutionary historical sites; visiting and giving gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, families of war invalids and martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and policy families; free medical examination and medicine distribution to policy people; organizing journeys to revolutionary addresses...
In addition, Bau Bang District also held candlelight ceremonies to pay tribute to martyrs at the District Martyrs Cemetery; checked and did repairs and construction of new houses for policy people having difficult circumstances; recognized and commended communes and wards that did a good gratitude job, "Model Citizens" and "Exemplary Revolutionary Families". The district also coordinated with Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to organize trips to Hanoi, the mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, Phu Quoc for heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services; took model people with meritorious services to the revolution to the national convention...
"In order not to miss any policy people subsidized under the regime, in the coming time, Bau Bang District will continue to urge communes and towns to update the list of policy groups to promptly give support.
