Bau Bang strives to become one of province’s industrial-urban hubs

From now till the 2016 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, Bau Bang district will put focus on taking care of the lives of locals, especially poor ones; making propaganda work to ensure traffic and food safety…

Urgent tasks

Le Khac Tri, Vice-Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Party Committee cum Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee said that one of the district’s urgent tasks from now till the 2016 Tet festival is to take care of locals, especially poor ones, bringing them a joyful and cozy Tet. It is expected that the district’s total source for Tet gifts is around VND6bln.

The district will also boost propaganda work and patrols to guarantee traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, especially order and security.

Along with the above tasks, in 2016, the district has set a target of well realizing social policies to stabilize locals’ lives. Particularly, the district will introduce jobs to around 2,000-2,200 laborers; give incentives for poor households; mobilize organizations, individuals to build 4 or 5 “great unity” houses, construct and upgrade 4 or 6 gratitude houses…

Promising a successful year

Bau Bang district’s industrial manufacture is predicted to reach a robust growth in 2016. Many investment projects will be implemented at Bau Bang Industrial Park along with the increase of immigrant laborers and the development of trade-services.

The district will create advantageous conditions for investors to realize their projects. Immediately, the district will focus on site clearance for the projects of the My Phuoc-Bau Bang major street, the expanded Bau Bang Industrial-Urban Park with 1,000 hectares…The district will also map out measures to promote trade-services at the local development needs. Particularly, in 2016, the district will call for investment in the fields of banking, supermarket and market development…while restoring the local business order.

Noticeably, the district has paid attention to assisting the local rubber growers and those who are hired for tapping rubber latex as the price of rubber latex is at extremely low level. Ngo Thu Huong, Secretary of Hung Hoa commune’s Party Committee said that the local government has made efforts in introducing jobs to locals; teamed up with the district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to give vocational training for them.

Whilst, Tran Van Hung, Chairman of Lai Uyen commune’s People’s Committee said that the commune has bent on shifting the local economic structure towards industrial, services and urban development in a bid to improve locals’ lives amid rubber prices going down. Particularly, in 2016, the commune will strive to reach an economic structure with 54%-56% in industrial manufacture, 26%-30% in trade-services and below 16% in agricultural production; fulfill all criteria of the new rural construction program. The commune will also promote the local goods distribution network, lodging business and other services.

To achieve the above target, the commune will ensure order-security to absorb investors; mobilize locals to foster home industries and household business models. The commune will also attach special importance to associating economic growth with socio-economic development; boost socio-economic infrastructure development.

Bau Bang is changing strongly. And with the set orientations, the district will fulfill 2016’s target and become one of the province’s industrial-urban hubs.
