Join hands to build new rural areas and civilized cities

Youth volunteer movements is a practical activity with great social significance, contributing to the ideal moral education for young people, an opportunity for young people to be more aware of their responsibilities towards the community, to learn, exchange life skills, nurture ambitions through practical experience. Volunteer activities of Bau Bang youth are performed not only in summer volunteer youth campaigns, on national holidays, but also at all times, at all areas when and where the community needs them...

In recent years, youth volunteer movements have become one of the prominent movements of Bau Bang youth. Volunteer activities focus on some major objectives, such as building new rural areas, civilized cities, protecting the environment and responding to climate change, social security activities...

Joining hands to guarantee social security, Bau Bang District Youth Union holds a program to visit and give gifts to young workers having difficult circumstances in the area.

According to Nguyen Huynh Nguyen Vy, Secretary of Bau Bang District Youth Union, volunteering activities to build new rural areas were implemented in various forms, namely, the youth project "Lighting up country roads", "Youth flower streets", building playgrounds for children... Thereby demonstrating the role of young people in new rural construction, especially in communes are implementing advanced new rural construction standards; supporting young people in startup granting loans, organizing training and transferring scientific and technical advances in agricultural production to youth cooperation groups for livestock and cultivation; environmental protection activities; mobilizing young people to eliminate outdated customs, exemplary implementation of cultural lifestyle, especially the implementation of savings, civilization in weddings and funerals...

President Ho Chi Minh once taught: "Young people are the pillars of the country, the future owners of the country, the pioneer force in building and protecting the Fatherland." To follow his teachings, Youth Unions in Bau Bang District have also effectively implemented the movement "Youth Unions participate in building e-commerce" and the campaign "Youth join hands to build civilized cities".

In order to realize this movement well, the youth in the district participated in the construction of "Residential areas without young people committing social evils"; of "Bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized – safe streets”, "Power poles bloom" etc., forming cultural behaviors in public places, actively participating in securing urban order and beauty, disseminating scientific and technological applications into learning and production.

Volunteer to ensure social security

With more than 20,000 young people in the whole district, Bau Bang District currently holds an abundant resource of wisdom and youth strength. This is also the main force contributing significantly to social security activities.

Social security activities in the district are constantly renewed by Bau Bang youth, focus on specific works and tasks, uphold expertise, enthusiasm and aspirations to make contribution to the community, taking care of each group, such as young workers, people affected by covid-19; policy families, disadvantaged children; young people and children of ethnic minorities and religions...

As a result, over the past five years, Bau Bang youth carried out free medical examination and treatment, distributed free medicines to more than 3,700 people with a total cost of over VND 600 million; gave 1,200 gifts and allowances worth totally VND 750 million to people, young workers and disadvantaged students; organized for young members to donate blood and collect more than 1,500 units of blood...

Enthusiastic, effective and practical volunteer activities not only contribute to the education, orientation towards a beautiful and useful lifestyle for young people, but also show the responsibility of the youth towards society, prove the pioneer spirit in all fields, practice good virtues, nurture talents for the community, contributing to building a prosperous and beautiful homeland. Through the volunteer movements and activities, youth union members have opportunities to train, make contribution and grow up.
