The province also maintained political security and social order. However, voters and people also proposed many urgent problems and hoped that all-level authorities and sectors of the province will soon have more effective solutions.
Ensuring traffic safety
Voter Huynh Thanh Tam in Phu Loi ward’s quarter 3 in Thu Dau Mot city reflected on the traffic signal system at the intersections of National Highway 13 and Pham Ngoc Thach Street, Huynh Van Luy Street and National Highway 13, Nguyen Van Long street and National Highway 13 that are not really suitable with the stopping time being too different compared to traffic directions. The voter recommended funtional agencies to survey and make appropriate adjustments to overcome traffic congestion at these intersections.
Voter Tran Van Binh in Hoi Nghia ward’s quarter 2 in Tan Uyen city said that currently DT747a street from Ong Tiep bridge to Rach Tre bridge and DT747b street from Tan Ba market intersection to Ong Cu temple intersection are narrow, with the high traffic volume. Many road surface sections have been severely degraded, flooded when it rains and tragic accidents often occur, causing insecurity for traffic participants…He recommended the province to soon sets up a plan to invest, upgrade, expand these streets and regularly carry out maintenance to ensure safety for traffic participants.
In addition, voter Le Anh Vu in An Thanh ward’s Thanh Hoa A quarter in Thuan An city said that the flood situation on Cach Mang Thang Tam street at the section from Trang bridge to the section bordering Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Tho ward has prolonged for many years and it is getting more severe. This is because this area has low terrain and water flows from Thu Dau Mot city, causing flooding in this area, affecting safety for traffic participants and people's lives. He hopes that all-level authorities will soon survey and find solutions to resolve and overcome the above situation...
Worry about lack of medical supplies
Many voters in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Loi ward reflected the slow and ineffective bidding of drugs, medical supplies and laboratory biological products at public medical facilities, especially in provincial General Hospital. Therefore, they requested all-level authorities to have specific solutions to resolve the above situation at the needs of people’s medical examination and treatment.
Also regarding to health sector, many voters in localities such as Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, Tan Uyen city and Phu Giao district continued reflecting on people buying health insurance, but not receiving benefits under the regulations. Voter Nguyen Hoang Son in Tan Phuoc Khanh ward’s Khanh Hoi quarter in Tan Uyen city shared that when he went to provincial General Hospital for medical examination and treatment, there was a shortage of drugs, medical equipment, and laboratory biological products. Therefore, people had to spend a lot of money on buying them at outside pharmacies. He proposed the health sector to take corrective measures so that people can enjoy benefits from health insurance during the medical examination and treatment process.
Voter Bui Van Nhung in Di An ward’s Binh Minh 1 quarter in Di An city petitioned provincial Social Insurance agency to have a solution to refund people for testing and buying medicine and supplies under the health insurance list when people go for medical examination and treatment at public health facilities and are asked by doctors to go to outside pharmacies to buy them (because the hospital runs out of medical supplies and drugs under the health insurance list) to ensure people's rights and interests when buying health insurance.
Voters in the province were also interested in making recommendations on policy issues; in the fields of natural resources - environment, culture, education...Particularly, many opinions suggested that currently, provinces and cities such as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau... have implemented tuition exemption for students at all levels. Therefore, the local voters proposed the province to consider having a mechanism on free tuition for students at all levels in the province...
