Ben Cat awarded the second-class Labor Medal

Early May 9, Ben Cat town’s Party, government and people grandly held a ceremony to receive the second-class Labor Medal of the State President and posthumously bestow the “heroic Vietnamese mother” title to mothers. Attending the event were Nguyen Minh Triet, former State President; Nguyen Huu Tu, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Huynh Thanh Long, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Mai Hung Dung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; heroic Vietnamese mothers together with leaders of the town over periods.

On behalf of the State President, Mr.Tu awarded the second-class Labor Medal to Ben Cat town for the local efforts in renewal and development during the past time.

Addressing the event, Mr.Dung spoke highly of achievements done by the town’s Party, government and people. In the coming time, the town needs to focus on well tapping potential of a central urban area, perfecting a connectable traffic system, raising the quality of cultural-sports activities, carrying out civilized urban lifestyles, building up a pure and strong political system.

On this occasion, the town also posthumously bestowed the “heroic Vietnamese mother” title to 21 mothers who made contributions to the cause of national independence and freedom…
