Ben Cat City spends over 27 billion VND on caring for workers during Tet
On February 4, Mr. Nguyen Trong An, Chairman of Ben Cat City People's Committee, said that during the recent Tet holiday, the city coordinated with Labor Federation, Ben Cat Industrial Park Trade Union, and the Provincial Textile and Garment’s Trade Union to visit and give 27,000 gifts to poor workers with a total cost of 27 billion VND.
In addition, the City Labor Federation and the Industrial Parks’ Trade Union donated 18 plane tickets and 278 train and bus tickets to workers having difficult circumstances to return home for Tet celebration in provinces across the country; paid visits and gave Tet gifts to social protection beneficiaries, meritorious people, and policy families in the city with an amount of more than 16.3 billion VND funded by the State budget.
Additionally, the high salaries and bonuses provided by enterprises under the city's management contribute to ensuring that workers have a good Tet celebration. At enterprises with domestic investment capital: The highest Tet bonus was over 92.4 million VND; at enterprises with foreign direct investment (FDI), the highest bonus was 92 million VND.
The city organized activities to celebrate Tet in a way that is joyful, peaceful, and economical. Efforts were made to ensure disease prevention and control while also focusing on implementing policies and support for residents during the Lunar New Year in 2025. Additionally, resources were mobilized and used effectively to care for poor households, beneficiaries of policies, children, and workers facing difficult circumstances in the city.
