With announcing it as the "green zone", Ben Cat town is the last "green zone" locality in the northern region of the province to be ready to return to the "new normal" state. Bui Duy Hien, Secretary of the town’s Party Committee, Head of the town’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that as of September 13, the town had 7 "green zone" communes and wards, namely Phu An, An Tay, An Dien, Tan Dinh, Chanh Phu Hoa, Hoa Loi and Thoi Hoa. There were also 41 out of 44 hamlets, quarters recognized as the "green zones" and 2 "orange zones", including Thoi Hoa ward’s quarter 6 and My Phuoc ward’s quarter 4, 1 “yellow zone” in My Phuoc ward’s quarter 3.

To protect the "green zone", the town has accelerated Covid-19 vaccination for 273,527 people while narrowing the "red zone" of My Phuoc ward’s quarter 4 and Thoi Hoa ward’s quarter 6. The locality will continue implementing solutions to keep the “green zone” and green the remaining “yellow spots”; continue strictly carrying out social distancing measures; further patrol, control and handle violations; gradually ease social distancing; carry out circulation between the local "green zones" and neighboring "green zones"; tighten control over each street in the "red zone", blockade area; deploy the "3 green" production model, gradually recovering production and business, stabilizing people's lives", Mr. Hien said.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Minh spoke highly of the efforts by the political system of Ben Cat town in the process of greening itself. He also noted that when returning to the "new normal" state, along with recovering people’s daily life and enterprises’ production, the town needs to further implement synchronous measures to ensure the preservation of the “green zone”; continue paying attention to the local Covid-19 prevention and control; further green the remaining risk areas in order to join hands with the "green zone" localities in the northern region of the province to quickly bring life and production back to the new normal state.

Mr. Minh asked for Ben Cat town together with the northern "green zone" localities to continue closely following the directions of the province while paying attention to recovering socio-economic activities that must be suitable to Covid-19 prevention and control of the locality and neighboring ones. This way will help firmly protect achievements done by the local political system, people and businesses in the fight against the pandemic over the past time.

Di An sets up plan on socio-economic recovery

Reporting at the announcement ceremony of the "green zone", Le Thanh Tai, Chairman of Di An city’s People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the city’s  Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that as of September 14, the city had 3 "green zone" wards, namely Binh Thang, Binh An and Tan Binh. In addition, many "green zone" quarters in the wards of Di An, An Binh, Tan Dong Hiep, and Dong Hoa were also announced. After announcing it as the "green zone", the city will ease anti-Covid-19 measures to gradually recover the local socio-economic activities.

In order to maintain its "green zone", the city will focus on directing and promoting the mobilization of the people's participation, taking wards as "fortresses", people as "soldiers" in Covid-19 fight; implement a plan on socio-economic recovery in the “new normal” state; fully meet medical oxygen, drugs, equipment and supplies to treat patients; ensure a vaccination plan and separate F0 cases from the community…

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Thao highly appreciated the efforts by Di An city in Covid-19 prevention and control with the proposal of solutions and measures to “lock” and "freeze" the locality, well controlling the pandemic. He also noted that in order to further maintain the "green zones", gradually narrowing the risk zones, the local anti-Covid-19 work needs to be implemented in the spirit of caution in keeping each "green zone", with the determination of "step wherever you go and keep it there".

“When being green, localities must maintain green. For the “red zones”, they must fight and must win against the pandemic. They must gradually narrow the "red zones", continuing implementing healthcare measures. They also need to meet conditions in terms of mobile medical stations, human resources, medical supplies, testing and treatment capacity…in the “green” and “red” zones”, emphasized Mr. Thao.

Mr. Thao said that setting up a plan on socio-economic recovery is necessary, but the city must consider and put people’s health first and foremost in the process of implementing the plan. Therefore, the city needs to take proactive measures, giving priority to Covid-19 prevention and control in the current context, with leadership that must be based on the local real conditions. The city needs to determine that if the ward is used as a fortress, the lodging facility must be the front, thereby well organizing plans against the pandemic. In the coming time, the city also needs to deliberate and prepare "clean labor resources" to supply them to enterprises when recovering production activities...

As of September 14, Binh Duong had 8 out of 9 districts, towns and cities announcing them as the "green zones". Tan Uyen town has not announced it as the “green zone” yet. Production, business activities in the "green zone" localities have been gradually resumed, but must ensure safety for Covid-19 prevention and control. People are allowed to go out when getting at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine after 14 days. From September 15, people with "vaccine green cards" will be allowed to travel within districts, towns and cities, and from September 20, they can travel within the province.
