Ben Cat’s Red Cross Society gets involves in activities for the poor

In December, 2014, Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society mobilized 79 organizations, individuals to support 100 kg of rice and more than VND17mln in cash for 125 people with difficult circumstances.

The society also mobilized clubs, donors to give sudden support of more than VND25mln for 4 other needy cases; visited and presented gifts to poor patients, paid visits to poor funerals…Under the “Tet for poor people and Agent Orange victims” program, the whole society mobilized 800 Tet gifts from organizations, individuals for needy people with a total value of VND240mln.

Such these apart, the society continued maintaining the operation of 57 loan-rotating groups with 808 members. And there were 55 members getting interest-free loans from the groups.
