To concretize action programs

Ben Cat is one of provincial areas having fastest and dynamic economic growth. In recent years, the town socio-economic situation has developed strongly, especially during 2 implementation years of the 10th provincial Party Resolution and Ben Cat town Party Resolution tenure 2015-2020. Bui Duy Hien, Secretary of Ben Cat Party Committee, said that after Party Congresses at all levels, Ben Cat Party Committee promulgated action programs; concretized main tasks as 4 following projects: To strengthen new rural construction, improve the quality of urban renewal, to train and improve the quality of human resources in the town, to develop cultural institutions in the town.

Mr. Hien said that these were 4 breakthrough projects in the implementation of Provincial Party Resolution as well as the town Resolution. The town invested in infrastructure construction with nearly VND640 billion, expanded and repaired 216 roads, 9 schools, health centers, electricity and lighting system. At the same time, the town paid much attention to compensations for key projects in the area such as: Projects of Viet Duc University, Thoi An bridge, DT741 road, So Sao intersection…"Ben Cat town focuses on the planning, planning management such as industrial planning, ward zoning of 1/2000 scale, new rural planning of 3 communes," said Mr. Hien.

According to Bui Duy Hien, after 2 years, fundamental missions achieved targets. Namely, total industrial production value reached VND204,199.2 billion, an average increase of 16.3%. Industrial areas in the town were basically filled up. Trade and service continued to develop in the right direction, in the last two years, the town invested in 5 more markets, bringing the total market number to 15 markets and supermarkets. Banking, post, and telecommunication activities in the area happened stably. In addition, Ben Cat town Party Committee paid attention to welfare programs, gratitude activities.

To continue making breakthroughs

A lesson learned from Ben Cat town Party Committee in leading and directing socio-economic development tasks is strictly implementation of programs and plans, in which the Party promote the great power of solidarity within the Party. The town mobilized the power from investment resources in infrastructure, industry and urban. At the same time, the town Party paid attention to the construction of political system; regularly organized the learning of Uncle Ho’s moral example for Party cadres, members, civil servants by the implementation of No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo associated with the 4^th Central Resolution on strengthening the Party building and reorganization; prevented, repelled the degeneration of internal ideology, politics, morality, lifestyle… so that each Party cadre, member could re-examine themselves, determine to perform well political and professional tasks.

Mr. Hien said that in order to continue well implementing the objectives and tasks set by the 10^th Provincial Resolution and the town Resolution tenure 2015-2020, the town would continue to implement measures to improve its business investment environment, improve the efficiency of investment attraction, encourage small and medium enterprises; To develop hi-tech industries, limit the attraction of projects outside industrial parks. At present, the town is encouraging investments in supermarkets and markets in residential areas; developing modern urban agriculture, improving the efficiency of agricultural production in association with safe food and agricultural products. Phu An, An Tay, and An Dien commune strive to reach new rural commune according to the new criteria and reach new rural model commune.

In the last two years of this tenure, the entire Party Committee of Ben Cat town will focus on leadership; devise solutions to accomplish the goals set out by resolutions. It will focus on upgrading the planning and investment management in combination with enhancing the effectiveness of infrastructure development, completing procedures for the recognition of class-3 Ben Cat town in 2018 and to achieve class-2 urban criteria in 2020. Besides, the town will strengthen investment in key projects in culture and sports, improve the efficiency of management and exploitation of cultural institutions; To promote the socialization of culture and sports in order to meet demands of the people and laborers; ensure the synchronous economic development associated with the growth of culture and society.
