Beneficial playground in healthy environment created for the children of workers

During this summer, the youth union at all levels in the province has organized various programs for the children of workers, with activities to take care of and equip them with skills to help them play and study happily.

The pink semester

"Semester of Love" is an annual program directed by the Provincial Youth Union and organized by the Youth Worker and Young Labor Support Center to provide practical support for young workers' children facing difficult circumstances in the province. Mr. Do Van Phung, Director of the Youth Support Center for Workers and Young Laborers in the province, said: "The 'Pink Semester' program takes place with many caring and educational activities; at the same time, it equips children with basic knowledge of life skills, methods of handling situations to protect themselves, awareness of environmental protection, and activities that promote responsibility towards family and society."

Tan Dinh Youth Union of Bac Tan Uyen district coordinates to organize gift giving for young workers with difficult circumstances.

In this program, the center organizes "A day as a farmer" for the children with activities at the eco-playground such as team games, learning to grind flour, pounding rice with a traditional mortar and pestle, making pottery with a pottery wheel, learning about the process of growing clean vegetables using hydroponics, growing clean mushrooms. In addition, the students also visit the petting zoo, experience paddling a coracle and a three-leaf boat; participate in traditional games, group activities and folk dances. Besides outdoor activities, they also learn about social skills, accident prevention, child abuse prevention, the topic "Family and the value of life" and experience the program "I am proud to be a firefighter"

"The Pink Semester" in 2024 will continue to promise to be a beneficial program, helping young workers' children have fun playgrounds and learn necessary knowledge. Through the program, they will also enhance their awareness and perception of life, orient their behavior, know how to care and share with relatives, family, friends, and develop independence, proactivity, and creativity.

The loving connectivity

Along with provincial activities, the Provincial Youth Union has implemented many summer activities for the children of young workers. Carrying out summer volunteer activities at Office 2, Tan Dinh commune, Bac Tan Uyen district, Tan Dinh Youth Union has recently coordinated with the district's medical unit to organize the program "Connecting love and taking care of young workers and their children in difficult circumstances." In addition to encouragement and visits, the two units also donated 16 sets of books and coordinated with kind-hearted individuals to give gifts to young workers and their children in difficult circumstances.

Anh Huynh Ho Hy, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tan Dinh Commune, said: "The program is implemented to provide additional motivation for workers and laborers in difficult circumstances, and to bring joy and encouragement to the children of young workers who strive to study well. This summer, the Youth Union also organizes summer activities for the children of workers, including team games, water drowning prevention propaganda, and legal knowledge suitable for them."

Not only caring for support and scholarships, gifts, this summer the levels of the Youth Union in the province also focus on promoting useful skills training for the children of workers and laborers. Accordingly, the Base Unit organizes programs to disseminate information and create playgrounds for children in love classes and children living in boarding houses; on the other hand, it strengthens the organization of swimming classes and integrates activities in youth unions of workers in boarding houses with diverse content on disseminating information about preventing drowning accidents, injuries, child abuse, care, prevention of diseases and escape skills for children in case of fire.

The practical activities during the summer of young people will continue to promote communication in the community about taking care, building beneficial playgrounds, creating a healthy environment for children, especially the children of workers to study, play, be healthy, and have social skills for comprehensive development.
