Binh An puts focus on urban, trade-service development

Since early this year, Binh An ward in Di An town has excelled at urban rejuvenation and trade-service infrastructure development, which was highly appreciated by locals and businesses.

Infrastructure investment promoted

Dang Thanh Thuy, Chairwoman of Binh An ward’s People’s Committee said that since early this year, the ward has attached special importance to infrastructure development.

Thanks to propaganda work well realized, the ward’s implementation of infrastructure, especially rural works has received a great response from locals. As a result, the ward built a work on the embankment in the lower area of Lo O stream in Binh Thung 2 quarter; upgraded D12 street; completed and put Noi Hoa 2 quarter’s executive office into operation; expanded alleys belonging to Binh Thung 1 quarter’s group 6 and Noi Hoa 1 quarter’s group 18…

Besides, the ward has mapped out a medium-term investment plan on urban rejuvenation and rural traffic with total investment capital of VND37.9bln. Leaders of the ward have also joined hands with the town’s sectors to deal with waterlogging in the upper area of Lo O stream; make a survey on North-South 3 street…

In a bid to hasten construction of the ward-based projects like those of the Tan Van-My Phuoc expressway, the resettlement area of the HCM city National University, since early this year, leaders of the ward have teamed up with the local Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations to mobilize locals to soon hand over space under the above projects to their construction units.

Trade-service on robust growth

Along with infrastructure investment, Binh An ward has continued bending on trade-service development. The ward is now home to 250 firms and more than 400 lodging facilities with 2,170 rooms; 2 environmental cooperatives of Binh An and Binh Thung together with  Binh An People’s Credit.

Binh An market now has 30 small traders dealing in foods, clothes, fruits…, basically meeting locals’demand. The ward has also regularly made inspection tours on food safety and hygiene at the market while upgrading several works herein in order to facilitate small traders’ dealing.

According to Mrs.Thuy, the ward’s People’s Committee will further make propaganda on not encroaching pavements among people; simultaneously give strict punishments for wrong business households, especially on the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival. The ward will also continue calling for investors to make investment in trade-service, contributing to the local sustainable development.
