Binh Duong absorbs over 570,000 immigrant laborers

The majority of laborers in the textile and garment

industry are immigrant ones

Currently, the whole province is home to 10,934 businesses, including 9,012 domestic businesses and 1,922 FDI ones.

 The above businesses have generated jobs for 692,773 laborers, comprising of 579,676 immigrant laborers or 83.67% and 9,820 foreign laborers. In 2010, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) worked with the province’s Management Boards of Industrial Parks granted 4,656 new licenses for foreign laborers or 196% of the projection and granted 18,751 labor books or 90% of the projection, bringing the total number of labor licenses for foreigners and labor books to 7,855 and 361,772, respectively…

 Under the Government PM’s Decision No.30/QD-TTg, provincial DoLISA also cooperated with the local functional agencies to extract VND720mln from the State budget to pay salary for 458 workers of Hason Co.Ltd. in Ben Cat district-based Tan Dinh industrial compound. The boss of the South Korean-invested company ran away in 2009.
