Binh Duong aims to establish itself as a 4.0 leading industrial center
Binh Duong is actively implementing the National Strategy for the 4.0 Industrial Revolution. The goal is to leverage the opportunities presented by this revolution to create significant breakthroughs, develop the economy sustainably, and establish itself as a center for Industry 4.0.
Binh Duong has become one of the leading localities in the country in implementing the National Strategy on Industrial Revolution 4.0. Binh Duong currently has a strongly developed industrial infrastructure and is one of the major manufacturing centers of the country. To meet the development needs in the era of Industry 4.0, Binh Duong has built a smart industrial development strategy, in which the application of digital technology in production, services and management is considered a core factor to increase productivity, improve labor quality, products and sustainable development.
Strategy realization
In the near future, Binh Duong will focus on promoting research and development (R&D) programs to foster innovation across various industries. The province will continue to strengthen cooperation with international partners in the research, development, and application of advanced technologies. Establishing global cooperative relationships not only enables Binh Duong to access new technologies but also allows it to learn from the experiences of developed countries. This approach will drive significant transformation in the fields of industry, agriculture, and services. |
To implement the above strategy, on May 22, 2020, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1338/QD-UBND on the implementation of Resolution No. 50/NQ-CP dated April 17, 2020 of the Government and Program No. 129-Ctr/TU dated March 11, 2020 of the Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of Resolution No. 52-NQ/TW dated September 27, 2019 of the Politburo on some guidelines and policies to proactively engage in the 4th Industrial Revolution. In addition, on January 13, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 106/UBND-KT on the implementation of Decision No. 2289/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2020 of the Government on promulgating the National Strategy on the 4th Industrial Revolution to 2030.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee directed specialized agencies to implement key tasks to gradually approach, promptly grasp, and effectively exploit the opportunities of the 4th Industrial Revolution to improve labor productivity, improve efficiency and competitiveness of the economy, while strengthening national defense and security potential and researching, transferring, and strongly applying advanced achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution to areas of socio-economic life.
Binh Duong has clearly defined its major priorities in its strategy for Industry 4.0. A top priority is the development of digital technology infrastructure. The province is heavily investing in network connection systems to ensure high-speed internet access and is building modern data centers for storing and processing large volumes of information. Currently, Binh Duong has deployed industrial parks equipped with modern technological infrastructure that quickly connect to global systems, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to implement advanced technology in their production activities.
Additionally, Binh Duong recognizes that training high-quality human resources is crucial for the success of its Industry 4.0 strategy. The province has partnered with universities and research institutes to develop a workforce capable of operating and advancing high technology. Recently, Binh Duong has also signed cooperation agreements with international partners to introduce advanced training programs to educational institutions within the province.
Binh Duong has identified the development of e-government as a crucial task in transforming to a digital government. This initiative aims to modernize administration, significantly enhance the investment and business environment, attract investment, and promote the socio-economic development of the province.
Develop advanced technology infrastructure
Binh Duong is actively implementing a development strategy focused on constructing a smart city and Innovation Zone (IZ). This initiative aims to position Binh Duong as a leading province in fostering IZs and supporting startups. Additionally, Binh Duong is working to assist businesses in accessing and engaging with the dynamic national and regional innovation ecosystems. The goal is to promote innovation, facilitate digital transformation, and enhance technology application to improve business operations. By connecting Binh Duong's innovation ecosystem with both national and international networks, the province seeks to strengthen its overall innovation capacity.
Binh Duong is actively fostering the growth of the information technology industry by establishing a specialized information technology park and data center is to attract investment in the production of electronic products, semiconductor chips, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and big data solutions. This initiative aims to create a dynamic information technology industry zone spanning the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, with a focus on supporting the 4th Industrial Revolution and digital transformation in Vietnam.
To enhance development and attract more investors, Binh Duong is concentrating on building smart industrial parks and advancing technological infrastructure. Additionally, the region is committed to providing businesses with the necessary resources to implement new technologies in their production processes.
