On the afternoon of March 14, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of departments and sectors in the province received a delegation of Singapore’s CapitaLand Group, led by Wong Kang Seng, CEO of the group.

At the reception, Mr. Loi briefly informed the delegation of the local socio-economic development as well as planning and development orientations in the coming years. Specifically, the province needs to increase from 7,000 hectares to 10,000 hectares of real estate area to serve the local development needs in the next 10 years. Similarly, in terms of urban development space, the province also needs the above mentioned area for the development orientation of the public transport system under the Transit-oriented development (TOD) as the basis for urban development planning, taking the traffic hub as a population gathering point, thereby forming up a dispersed transport system.
Provincial Party Committee Secretary said that many key works and projects, including the belt road 3, the belt road 4, Ho Chi Minh city - Chon Thanh expressway passing through Binh Duong…, are being accelerated by the Government of Vietnam and localities to develop a connected traffic infrastructure system to create a stronger development motivation for the Southern key economic region. Besides, the policy of restoring railway routes, especially the Trans-Asian railway, the urban railway connecting Binh Duong - Ho Chi Minh city will create a driving force for the development of the connection between the two localities. Along with developing a smart city, becoming an Innovation Region, the province aims at developing into a major educational and medical center in the region. Currently, Binh Duong is setting up a plan and then submits it to the Government. Accordingly, about 5 million people will live, study and work in the province after 2030.
Provincial Party Committee Secretary wants that the cooperation between CapitaLand and Becamex IDC in the near future will positively contribute to the local development and planning. He affirmed that Binh Duong will create the best conditions for investors in general and CapitaLand Group in particular to soon start the project in Binh Duong.
