Chairmen of the Binh Duong and Binh Dinh provinces’ People’s Committee yesterday inked a cooperation deal for the 2012-2016 period under the witness of former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, Binh Duong provincial party committee secretary Mai The Trung, Binh Dinh provincial party committee secretary Nguyen Van Thien and reps of the two provinces. On the occasion, the two provinces’ People’s Committee chairmen had an interview with press about the deal.

Binh Duong Newspaper: In the cooperation deal, which fields are focused most, sir?

Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung: The two provinces focus on industrial development. In the coming time, Binh Duong will work with investors to mobilize them to invest in Binh Dinh province. The second field is processing exploitation and the third is tourism service. These are the fields that Binh Dinh has many advantages.

Binh Dinh Newspaper: Binh Dinh has many potentials and advantages but the field of investment attraction has yet to be upheld whilst Binh Duong excels the field. Could you share experiences in the field?

The two provinces’ leaders have discussed the problem over the past one year and realized that Binh Dinh province has many advantages to invest in the coming time. The two sides’ leaders have paid attention to advantages of the two provinces. Especially, the two sides are interested in socio-economic development in the coming time.

BTV: What reason did the two provinces ink the deal?

Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Huu Loc: Originating from demand on development of the two localities, Binh Dinh province is in need of cooperation and assistance from other provinces.

Binh Duong Newspaper: what similar characters do the two provinces have?

Firstly, Binh Dinh provincial people are working at Binh Duong province with a considerable amount and many of them are successful people in the locality. Secondly, there are some advantages and potentials that the two provinces can support each other. Therefore, we want to have a good cooperation to exploit the advantages effectively.

Contents of the cooperation deal between Binh Duong and Binh Dinh provinces for the 2012-2016 period are as follows:

-The two sides officially set up overall cooperation relation on all areas, especially fields of economy, commerce, service, tourism and investment.

-The two sides exchange and share experience as well as support each other in a bid to raise capacity of State management, economic management as well as planning work and socio-economic development in every locality.

-Contents of the cooperation deal will be specified in concrete projects and operations for every side.

-The two provinces’ Planning and Investment Departments will cooperate with relevant agencies and units to give advices to leaders for concrete programs and plans.

-The two provinces’ leaders will hold meetings in rotation every two years to review and assess implementation as well as to exchange and agree on problems that will be adjusted and added.
