Binh Duong and Dien Bien together build up education cause

In the welcoming atmosphere of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, teachers and students of Dien Bien Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School are also busy with educational tasks. This school is training children of ethnic minorities, and is also a place to create a source of young officials for Dien Bien province. Former President Nguyen Minh Triet and leaders of Binh Duong province always give love, care, encouragement and create conditions for the school to nurture future generations of the country.

Visiting the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Dien Bien province these days, the joy seemed to multiply when the young generation of ethnic minorities has a spacious school with adequate accommodation, activities for students. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Vice Principal of Dien Bien Province Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, said: “This is a school dedicated to children of ethnic minorities and plays a spearhead role in the education career of Dien Bien province. Since its establishment, the school has trained thousands of ethnic minority officials and public employees who currently working in many agencies and units inside and outside the province. Among them, many people have been holding leadership positions in Party and government agencies at the Central and local levels...".

Recalling the visit of former President Nguyen Minh Triet and leaders of Binh Duong province at the end of 2023, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen said that after listening to the school's report and taking a look around the school, former President Nguyen Minh Triet and the delegation of Binh Duong province were very happy about the results and achievements of the school over the years. The former President encouraged teachers and students to always make efforts, try to teach well and study well to train generations that are both mature and professional for the homeland.

The delegation also awarded 100 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to students having difficult circumstances and 8 sets of computers for the school. These gifts are sentiments from businesses and philanthropists send to the school. Former President Nguyen Minh Triet also advised schools to preserve and effectively use the computers;  students need to continue studying hard, overcoming all difficulties to become good citizens, useful to society...

Also during this visit, former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi and delegates planted memorial trees at the campus of the school. Currently, these trees are being well attended to every day by the school and considered as one of the places to educate students to always be grateful for the precious sentiments as well as know how to protect the environment.

For many years, the Party and State have always paid special attention to ethnic minority and mountainous areas, especially in terms of education and training. Through guidelines and policies to support and invest in development, the career of education in ethnic minority and mountainous areas has seen clear changes, including the school on the land of fire in the past. Dien Bien today has changed, people's lives are constantly improving. While the whole country looking towards Dien Bien on the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, where our ancestors' generation achieved a resounding victory, we believe that the young generation of the country today in general, of Dien Bien in particular, will continue to write heroic pages of history for the country and for the Vietnamese people…
