Binh Duong boosts investment bond with Laval city from Canada’s Quebec

Early March 13, Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a conference on trade promotion between Binh Duong and Laval city from Canada’s Quebec region at provincial Exhibition and Convention Center. The event was attended by leaders of departments and agencies in the province.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Dung thanked and gladly welcomed the delegation on the occasion of the two countries Vietnam and Canada approaching the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. He said that Canada currently ranks 25th among 65 countries and territories making investment in Binh Duong with 23 projects capitalized at US$86 million. Through the conference, Binh Duong want to continue receiving active cooperation and support from leaders of Quebec region’s Laval city in calling on Canadian partners and businesses in hi-tech, less labour-intensive and environmentally friendly industries and those that create high economic value such as financial services, logistics, auxiliary industry, and high-tech agriculture, especially attracting investment in the Science and Technology Industrial Park on the basis of Industry 4.0 from developed countries, the world's leading potential partners with modern management, including Canadian partners.

Bonnet Huor, Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Development at the Mayor Office of Laval, Quebec expressed his impression of Binh Duong’s achievements as well as its comprehensive development orientation and strategy in the coming time while speaking highly of the province's potential and investment climate, and looking forward to having the opportunity to learn more deeply to promote effective, long-term and sustainable cooperation in Binh Duong.
