According to Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Binh Duong is striving to develop a green and sustainable logistics ecosystem, with focus on regional cooperation and development. In the coming time, Binh Duong will collaborate with the development programs of the nation, Southeastern region and neighboring localities to expand traffic connectivity, especially Cai Mep-Thi Vai, Can Gio seaports, Tan Son Nhat, Long Thanh international airports, Moc Bai and Hoa Lu international border gates in Tay Ninh and Binh Phuoc provinces. The province also aims at strengthening connections in science, technology and human resources to drive transition to a new development ecosystem, connecting in development spaces to collaborate on developing ecological urban corridors. Furthermore, Binh Duong will focus on developing international infrastructure to bolster its position in the global production and service supply chain, positioning itself as a preferred destination for enterprises in high-tech industries and industrial services.
The province is accelerating the development of Binh Duong’s urban space in connection with the central urban area of Ho Chi Minh city under the urban region model with a synchronous and modern infrastructure framework. The southern areas of the province, including Di An and Thuan An cities, are being transformed into regional service centers for trade and logistics services. Thu Dau Mot city is being fully developed into a center for support services and innovation. Ben Cat city and Tan Uyen city are being developed into modern industrial-service urban models. The northern areas, including the districts of Dau Tieng, Bau Bang, Phu Giao and North Tan Uyen, are being developed into eco-industrial urban areas with a synchronous, modern infrastructure system, a comprehensive service network, attracting investors, labor resources and ensuring a green, clean and beautiful environment.
Binh Duong is also working on developing various forms of trade and services in the southern region while establishing raw material centers connected to new-generation industrial parks.
