Implementing Uncle Ho’s 5 teachings

With a significance of educating children about studying and practicing Uncle Ho’s 5 teachings: To love Father-land and the compatriot; To study well and be hardworking; To practice good solidarity and follow strict discipline; To keep well hygiene; To be modest, truthful and brave, a series of movements and clubs of 196 young pioneer unions across the province have been established. Through many plentiful forms such as meetings, get-togethers, broadcasts, exchanges, gift visits and so on, young generation’s soul and personality have been fostered.

One of typical movements of these activities is the emulation movement of “Thousands of good deeds”. For instance, Pham Huu Phuoc and Nguyen Ngoc Thuy in Dau Tieng district picked up VND20mil in cash and repaid its owner. Promoting the tradition of “whole leaves wrap torn leaves”, children across province express their good deeds by subscribing secondhand notebooks, clothes ad learning aids to grant poor students or raising money to help flood-hit victims.

In addition, other movements of charity rice jar, spring for poor kids, young soldiers, etc have been reaped many encouraging results. Annually, the provincial young pioneer union honors and grants title of excellent young pioneer to thousands of children and teenagers across province.

Upholding efficiency of action plans

Implementing Uncle Ho’s teachings, young pioneer unions have positively initiated emulation movements in study and labor. A series of bright examples have emerged.

Nguyen Huynh Ngoc Phuong, the pupil of Binh An secondary school in Di An town is a typical example. Born in an unlucky circumstance, Phuong lives in shortage of parents’ love, so she must live on her grandmother’s vegetable trade. Despite difficult circumstance, Phuong remains a good pupil.

Additionally, hundreds of clubs such as “I love science” club, “Young talent” club and many more lure participation of numerous children. The program of “Lighting Binh Duong children’s dreams” really becomes a reliable address for children and teenagers.

From waste things, they accumulate into a big money to implement a small plan of raising fund for Ho Van Men scholarship. Therefore, in the past academic year, hundreds of poor pupils enjoyed assistances.
